Re: [Announce] Status Menu Extension for N9

only problem now is that there is some problems when phonelock is activated. It doesnt lock emidiately...just turn black screen for 20 secs then the phone lockkeypad shows up
If I uninstall extensions back to normal. This behaviour stops. Gaaah always something pushing your limits....hahaha. Anyone with same behavour. Was like this with earlier versions also.

Wow! Amazing work.
With this kind of hacks, I have the impression that the N9 is literally "taking off"!

Re: [Announce] Status Menu Extension for N9

Really great mod! It's just like Kly said, it causes reboot loop in my case and huuuge battery drain.

Re: [Announce] Status Menu Extension for N9

Do you used unrestricted system-ui before you installed this app?
If yes here is the problem, this app don't cause reboot loop if you installed it correctly..

Re: [Announce] Status Menu Extension for N9

well i flash my phone and then another reboot loop, both times it's started when the phone reboot itself by a third app, first was the app shutdown, then i flashed, and i didn't install it and de status bar worked just fine, and then i was enabling the developer mode, and when it reboot the phone, the reboot loop started again

I think it's cause when the phone will reboot itself by a third app
it's an excellent app, but i will wait a little more, there is anyway to stop the reboot loop without flashing the phone? :(

Re: [Announce] Status Menu Extension for N9

yes you can get rid of the reboot loop if you are ready to put your phone into open mode: http://wiki.meego.com/N950/Fixing_MALF_state

follow to step 7...once mounted you can edit the files which this system-extensions edited and voila you are done...

also before doing the above try the following on your PC:

run cmd as admin
cd c:/program files/nokia/flasher

Code:

flasher --enable-rd-mode --set-rd-flags=no-lifeguard-reset
now uninstall whatever you installed and you should be ok

also once you've managed to reverse it in cmd enter:

Code:

flasher --disable-rd-mode
The commands are courtesy of MAG...

Do you need PR1.3, or will this work on 1.2?
Did the last update fix the reboot button not working, or is that still an issue?

Reboot worked for me on last version when long pressed. I haven't tested on newest version.

Re: [Announce] Status Menu Extension for N9

It says...

"Cant Install, application incompatible with other installed applications"

Some help please, thanks

Edit 1: I used terminal and typed in "pkgmgr install-file -f system-ui-extensions_0.0.5.5_armel_0392.deb" and i got the following...

"Error: Package requires system metapackage 'mp-harmattan-006-pr' version '40.2012.21-3'"

I have version PR1.3 (40.2012.21-3_PR_006)

What to do next?

Edit 2: Nevermind, figured it out. I had to reinstall the original system-ui using the following commands

apt-get install --reinstall -d system-ui

/usr/sbin/incept /var/cache/apt/archives/system-ui_1.3.2-1+0m8_armel.deb

Then i was able to install the status menu extensions

Awsome! But can you add to the battery button the indicators back for A as aytomatic and the leaf for PSM? Btw, the % idea is fantastic!

An Internet Connection on/off toggle would be well appreciated. Keep up the good work!

Maybe this can be achieved in 10 minutes max (regarding the coding skill of the 2 guys) in a live IRC chat session ??? !!! ...

A++

PS : I myself doesn't know how to use 'github' but I remember the same lack of knowing when I have started the aMule project using 'cvs', and it was the way I chose to learn (I mean, a live IRC chat session to learn how to use 'cvs') ...

When I use the 2g/3g/Dual button the internet connection is lost, and i have to connect it manually (when on wifi there is no issue). Can anyone else confirm this?

Re: [Announce] Status Menu Extension for N9

works really good.. Thanks for coding this without requiring inception or unrestricted sys.

So far I noticed only two bugs:
1. Bluetooth takes a while to switch on.. Freezes the phone for a few second then switches on. Same after reboot.

2. When you press the lock button to lock the phone, it takes around 30 seconds to actually lock it. The screen goes blank, but then you can still use the phone for around 30 seconds and suddenly after that, it displays the lockscreen. Problem only went after uninstalling. This may also cause battery drain, as it's clearly being used in the bg.

apart from that.. Great work.. Looks amazing, and really handy. Big up to everyone involved in the development.
