Well, Elleo hasn't posted a working app yet. Munozferna app also doesn't allow you to download .torrent files as far as I can figure out, it seems to only allow you to share new files.

It has option to run it localy or connect to remote. and you can add torrent or magnet link to download. So basically it's working. Soooooooo are you gonna pay him?

Well here's a version you can play around with if you like: http://mikeasoft.com/~mike/meegorapids_0.1-1_armel.deb

It's really not ready for general use though. It'll download stuff fine, but like I said earlier the status display doesn't update reliably once you have more than one torrent running. There's also currently no way of stopping individual torrents through the UI.

I'm not likely to have time to work on it further until October as I have a deadline I need to meet at the end of September.

You need to save torrent files to your device then open them through the "Open" option in the menu, it doesn't install an automatic handler for torrent files yet.

Yeah, I did that, but the torrent doesn't add, it just goes back to a blank screen.

Don't want to accuse anyone, but he said same thing about http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...50#post1265750 and i checked it and it worked. Didn't try QtRapids, but i assume some people just throw words as "bounty" and "1000$" on air even if they can't deliver. It's a shame that they not only want free apps to be developed to them, but they lie!!!!

Get Stuffed *****!. I'm helping the community to get these apps built!. I have tried the Meegorapids app and honestly when I select a torrent file to add, the window closes but the torrent is not added. It's honest feedback and has nothing to do with the bounty.

Elleo, I've tried rebooting, uninstalled and reinstalling... I don't know if its something to do with my setup, I'm running inception, but wouldn't think that would make a difference?

I don't want to get involved in anything but I do have the same bug as wormdrummer. I try to add a torrent but nothing happens. perhaps there us an error log we can give you? I don't have inception installed bit I do have FasterN9.

inception would make no difference, as well me and few other people tested transmission and it's adding torrents. So it's working.

I don't see how you help community getting it, only one way i can see it if you stand by what you said in first thread and will give bounty as it was done and transmission was ported, i'm not going to test qtrapids as i understand it's not finished.

On which app? I tried with transmission and it works.
You opne transmission and you start local deamon(option in connection menu in toolbar), you connect to localhost 9091. than you go to download menu(system-ui) and just click on torrent, back to transmission — refresh and you'll see torrent there

Uploading video i made on how it works (it would be bad quality as i took it with n950 and it's hard to handle N9 with one hand while u handle other device above with other, but it shows how it works)

If possible to port qtrapids please use a newer build that includes support for magnet links preferably through the web browser, this is a massive failure for the current n900/maemo version of qtrapids, the situation is even worse with maemo transmission which has trouble joing most trackerless torrents. If anyone gets a fully running torrent app with the updates a maemo backport would be appreciated.

magnet links working great in transmission remote.local aswell.
Press the magnet link in browser and it will be added in transmission for download.

Ok thanks ZogG I have transmission working now. All we need is a cancel function and settings in the app rather than the webui.

Maybe the community could have a small whip around for Munozferna.

He doesn't have a PayPal donate link available but he has an app. in the store for £1 (http://store.ovi.com/content/268287); it's not much but I'll buy it on pay day as a thanks for his efforts on this project.

Torrential sucks. It only works on certain trackers and sometimes it doesn't even work at all.

Hey, nice work man! I know I estimated the QML port to be ready somtime in April, but due to unforeseen circumstances I have not had the time and motivation to work on this. And I was a bit disappointed that the project got left to such a point that I had some of the basic functionality "almost working".

But for what it's worth, you could apply for the project rights at the Qtrapids
Garage site and push your stuff to another git branch. I would be more than happy to take a look at the progress!
