Hi Avis,

I need some help...

I am a huge fan of Touch balance app on Symbian but dunno why USSD Balance app never worked on my N9.

I had 0.0.7 version, then upgraded to 0.0.8 and now v1.0 but it never worked for me.
I have tried using empty string, default "/d+/. /d+" but that also doesn't work.

I talked to few people and they told me that I need to remove the app completely including all cache and db files and then only it will work. Please help me on this..

You need the brackets before and after the search string

That doesn't work either. Results the same Unorganized text like in the screenshot I have shown. Second last screenshot)

Thnks Avis. Thanks alot. It now works... One more question, How to make it Billboard friendly? I have turned the standby mode ON but it doesnt display on standby screen...
heard we have to add sthg to Billboard config file for that... What's that?

There is a help page in a program's settings.
BTW here is the string to add to Billboard's config:

Ussd works as it should be, but it causes a reboot loop on my N9!

I had to go to developer mode and i had to deinstall ussd. After that my phone works again.

Had anyone an idea why ussd could case a reboot loop on my phone?

Just got back from my travels.
The lite version was very useful indeed. Will definitely give the Pro version a try. The multiple SIM support is a nice idea and the interval updates will solve the only real issue I had in the last couple of weeks - remembering to update after checking email/maps.
Unfortunately I won't be able to give it a serious workout until Christmas but keep up the good work!

Hi,
My operator has 2 step process for checking balance, data via USSD.
Like I need to dial *112# then screen comes up showing different options.
1 returns by balance and 2 returns my Data balance.
Can this be done with USSD app?

In current version - not.
Isn't it possible to use combined queries, like
*112*1# - for balance, and
*112*2# - for Data ?

Loved the lite version. And had to buy pro version :)

Any way to add a white space before the balance string? The text runs into icon borders and I don't really like that.

Ok. I'll think how to manage this. But maybe it would be better to have option to directly set size of the digits?

That might be better. But I prefer the automatic scaling. Just needs a margin, thats all

I upgraded to the pro version and so far it seems to work although I haven't tested it much. I don't need it for my main SIM so all the icons are turned off until I travel.

One slight bug (similar to seen previously in the pre-store version) is that on reboot or upgrade the 1st icon shows up even though it's disabled. It's easily fixed by enabling and disabling but ideally shouldn't happen.

Pro version is updated.
* Icon's text margin added
* Icon preview in Settings added
* Icon's reappear after reboot bug fixed
* Muli-level queries support added (like *100# then 1, then 2, etc...)

For some reason hardKill fails in auto killing popups after long idling times.
It was like this in initial builds.
But pro vrsn in store worked reliably until last update.
I have to manually press the button to reactivate the auto kill, after idling for long.

wish I could go back to previous vrsn. Or hope that it'd be fixed back in next updates.

Umm.... There were no changes about "killing"-feature in the latest release.
And I don't fully understand the described problem.
But You can try to downgrade version with command:

apt-get install ussdbalancepro=1.0.3
or
Code:
apt-get install ussdbalancepro=1.0.2
Or I can mail to You the needed version :)

I tried the downgrade command, but it says

Your application is great :)

I want to report some problems that I experienced:
1) My code for checking balance is *100#, however, I can go further (there is input box to type number if I want to go in some other options). Now problem is that window doesn't close, instead it gives me focus on that input box (I assume that touch point simulation is somewhere at that position). I would be nice if you could simulate touch point at "Cancel" button.
2) Stand-by screen freezes once it is turned on (it doesn't update values and I can't disable it except using terminal workaround)

Besides that, it is working good :)

After uninstall, the ussdbalance folder disappears, so I cannot do any thing. I reinstall and open the app, still see all the old setting pls help me.

What can be a reason in PRO version to not to show difference since last USSD-update? I can't find anything in configuration for this feature.

Difference can be shown in notifications and on LPM screen - this can be configured on notifications page (last 4th page in settings).

Ah, stuppid me - it's just a part of message format, it doesn't have separate configuration part. But I think you should use default format value same as for free version to prevent such misunderstands in future.

I am unable to add a space in my USSD number in the Pro version. The only keyboard that is available is a keypad that doesn't have that as an option so i had to cut and paste the value from note. Is there a way to enable other keyboards for that field?

You can switch to using SWYPE keyboard in system's "Time and Language" settings.

Is there a way to add display of a date along with the balance. It is part of the USSD reply at the end in the format "Expiry 12Nov15:03"
