Is it normal that when swiping up or touching the glas the homescreens move slightly to the side? Maybe it is a hardware issue due to bad data from the touchscreen. Edit: The "wake up screen" when I press the power button moves slightly to the side when I touch it nearly to the mid. In the task manager when I swipe up mostly the left one, with the icons, sneaks into view. |
Re: N9 problems
hallo again/good morning :)
i've done everythink as you said. now its at the wallcharger but its still like death/ the nokia logo. seems like this way isnt working for me. i need you wisdom again, thedeath1440 |
Re: N9 problems
Did you get the battery level from flasher? Could you share what was the percentage?
|
Re: N9 problems
it was at 4%. at 10% i disconnected it and put it to the wall charger
|
Re: N9 problems
Ok can you plug out your phone from the wall charger and press the power button till its powered off...You might need to press the button for around 8 seconds to make sure its off before plugging it into the wall charger...
IIRC, after plugging to the wall charger it should auto-turn on to charge further... How long has it already been plugged into the wall plug? |
Re: N9 problems
its ~25 minutes at the wall.
the phone did as you said. its turned on and the led lights up for about 10 times(but not that slow like it would charge, rather fast ) |
Re: N9 problems
Ok give it maybe another 30mins then plug it out and try to boot it up...I think it should then work...
IIRC, it should in fact boot up the moment you plug it out...If after 20seconds of plugging it out it doesnt attempt to boot up, do a boot up manually... I would hope the above fixes it all up...If it doesn't we might have to do a reflash instead which would mean losing all your apps :(...This would be the last resort...Let's hope we can fix it without a reflash ;) |

Re: N9 problems
ok i just want my n9 back to life :D
i have never flashed my n9 manually. is this correct or i forgot sth: 1. download the last 2 files from navifirm 2.turn off the phone 3.type cd C:\Program Files\Nokia\Flasher\ 4. type flasher -i and the next step with replacing i dont understand....will i replace it in the cmd window or where? |
Re: N9 problems

See the last two files from navifirm are the rootfs.bin and emmc.bin...Flashing emmc.bin will delete all user data too like messages, photos, music etc... In your case try flashing just rootfs.bin first... The command after step 3 is: Code:
flasher -f -F rootfs.bin -R If you want to do a full flash of rootfs+emmc then you must do: Code:
flasher -f -F rootfs.bin Still we try getting it up without the reflash first ;) |
Re: N9 problems
ok its still the same :( now we have to flash it i think :/ first i will charge the phone up to 50% battery.
|
Re: N9 problems
Hmmm...How do you know its not at 50% battery?
|
Re: N9 problems
i typed flasher -f -F rootfs.bin and put it in for 1 sec. there was 30%...is that enough?
|
Re: N9 problems
Yes more than enough just let the process go on now...Don't plug it out as it might get screwed furhter :p
|
Re: N9 problems
good...so "flasher -f -F rootfs.bin" or "flasher -f -F rootfs.bin -R"(this was in your last post) ??
|

Re: N9 problems
there is an error: failed to flash images.
so i have installed navifirm, winflasher and downloaded the file to flasherpath and renamed it in rootfs.bin did i forgot sth? |
Re: N9 problems
Can you post a screenshot of the ouput?
|
Re: N9 problems
1 Attachment(s)
ohnow i see: i wanted to type 13% and not 30%. sry for that...
so heres the screenshot :) |
Re: N9 problems
Your PR Legacy image is 009 but you are using a 001 image to flash...Are you using a German N9? Give me the colour and capacity too and I'll get you the direct links to rootfs.bin and emmc.bin instead of you searching them from navifirm...
|
Re: N9 problems
yes german n9. its normally black(now its white because i changed the housing) and 16gb

thedeath1440: i dont know how i can say it
thank you soooo much!! you had such a big patience!! im so happy now ehmm and now my phone is working right..so i can reboot it wthout have fear that it will not wake up? :D |
Re: N9 problems
No probs :D
It will boot up fine...Just don't let it die off easily...If you see its off and maybe the battery was the cause plug in the wall charger instead of continuosly trying to boot it up... |

Congrats!
Now tweak it to your heart's content :D |
Re: N9 problems
One more problem!
I got my sim card today and when I phone the screen turns black and can't recover ir. I hear dialtones and my personal pots answering machine but can't hang up. Thanks for you help but this phone is crap. |
Re: N9 problems
Well there could be two things:
Firstly I just saw your flash output; can you do a full rootfs+emmc flash since you got it used and don't have much to lose... Secondly, if after the above fails to fix your issue its possible your screen is damaged hence the issues...Maybe that's why the seller sold it ;) Anyway, if its a hardware issue then Nokia Care is your solution and no matter which phone; if there is a hardware problem all are crap ;) |
