I can't install the harmattan power menu.

Have installed repository from MohammandAG ending with
Password for 'root':

try disabling Rzr's shared repo, apt-get update then apt-get install harmattan-power-menu...

Thanks! Tried to remove rzr repo by N9 QTweak II and then tried to remove all exstra repo - but it didn't help:confused:

Oh .... had already MohammandAG repo installed by N9 QTweak and now removed - will add again!

Garp you mean double-clicking the power button doesn't bring the menu? o.O It has a 500ms delay so maybe you are slightly slow in the double-clicking if it only locks the screen instead of the menu appearing...

Double click from the Standby screen however makes the next (wallpaper/background) screen which normally only last a few (5-10) seconds (before going back to the standby screen) now standing as long as the (3) homescreens meaning 1minute or so.

I dont like the red X on the silent icon, I think it would be better with just grey colour and remove the sound bars coming out of speaker...

You could get rid of the red cross-out and insert a speech bubble saying "..." ;)

It's a common visual idiom in East Asia (China, Japan, Korea)

Regarding the extended power menu itself: with a PSM switcher this would be damn near perfect, only a flight mode toggle could even improve on that... :)

OK I have done and I have tried to make both changes:
1) in /etc/mce/mce.ini change PowerKeyDoubleAction=dbus-signal-powerkey_double_ind
2) in terminal devel-su pass
sed -i -e "s/end script/ start extended-power-menu\nend script/" /etc/init/group-mce.conf

And it seems to work.:)
Only problem is that I do'nt know eactly what I'm doing!:o
But 1) wasn't enough then I made 2) too - and now I don't know if 2) was enough?
And really it works so maybe I shouldn't care!

Garp,

You did the edit of group-mce.conf? Now whatever happens DON'T REBOOT your phone!

If you are not in open mode the change in sha1sums has made the refhashlist conflict and your phone won't work after a reboot...

You need to resign refhashlist; however before you do so post here with the following 2 commands from terminal as root:

cat /var/lib/aegis/refhashlist | grep group-mce.conf

If both the sha1sum values don't match you would need to re-sign usig coderus' method 2 pages ago...

I'm in open mode (installed NITdroid) and as well Incept.
I have reebooted at least once last evening!
Do I then still need to do the above commands?
Or can I do it without problem just to make sure?

Ah open mode then you are safe ;) You won't have issues as long as you are in open mode :D

Same question....i tried to install via repo, successfully installed but power and rebood didnt work. Repo is incepted too.....Now i downloaded .deb file and incept it. Worked!

hey coderus, the screenshot function I suggested seems to be similiar with the long press pop-up menu in Android 4.0, with several options.

I think he means the Home buttom + Power menu combo on Android and IOS to take screenshots. But we don't have a Home Button here :P

Forgive my poor English..... I hope this app works so simply that one long press(instead of double press) of power button will pop-up the menu.

And the menu has a screenshot option. You know, common android device use key PowerButton+HomeButton combo to achieve that.

As far as I could see, the Extended Power Menu could add a icon on the pop-up menu, when user press the icon, it will save the screen content the user want into the photo gallery.

I'm not sure whether I made myself clear, forgive my poor english again....:D

Bug:
If I press one time power button to light up the screen and then press this button again two times it will sometimes open up a menu and sometimes not.

Why it opens a menu if device was not unlocked by swiping image from the side to the side?
