Re: N900 Not Booting & Problems

I am currently uploading the file from my phone, so just wait a while for it to complete;)

But you should try the file provided by Alecsandru, because i never did that before and can't test it, so i cannot guarantee mine will be fully usable.

I have 4 combined file images as follows

RX-51_2009SE_21.2011.38-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM -2011 update
RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM -global latest

RX-51_2009SE_3.2010.02-8_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM -global third

I have vanilla file images

RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.41-1.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM -older
RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM -latest

all combined images are flashing fully...but whenever i try to flash vanilla in whatever order or combination, it is struck at 20 % as shown below for example,

I tried infinite times with all combinations of all combined files/vanilla files...all the time it is struck at 20%. Phone's lock code 12345 is not working, phone is slow, some files are shown broken, etc are the problems I'm facing...kindly help me..
Is nokia care the last resort? they may charge near to Rs 1000 which I dont have now.

Try Nokia Suite instead and see if it works.

But you should try the file provided by Alecsandru, because i never did that before and can't test it, so i cannot guarantee mine will be fully usable.

so i got both 8 gb emmc (Alecsandru) and normal one too...doing with 8gb now

confirming steps.
opening flasher
executing
flasher-3.5.exe -F emmc.bin -f -R
when asked for device plugging in flash mode.

is that ok?

Mitrigol 2013-02-07 17:49

Re: N900 Not Booting & Problems

nope, you should not reboot after emmc flash, so correct commadnb line first is:

flasher-3.5.exe -F emmc.bin -f

and the, flash the rom file:

flasher-3.5.exe -F rom.bin -f -R

edit: don't know if someone already provided the link, but hrere is the wiki to flsh nxx devices:

same thing....tried 8 gb first...struck at 20%....but this time the execution is not staying in dos screen..it vanishes after 3 seconds and only the command ,
flasher-3.5.exe -F EMMC8.bin -f

is seen...
i kept my eyes open, hence saw, at 20% it stopped.

how to uninstall the n900 from device manager using the delet driver option and reinstall it using the process i linked earlier? please

Mitrigol 2013-02-07 18:00

Re: N900 Not Booting & Problems

okaym try something else, open your command prompt and use the flash command.

When it says waiting on device, open the keyboard of your n900, plug it onto the USB cable, but WITHOUT to press the u button

Mitrigol 2013-02-07 18:06

Re: N900 Not Booting & Problems

and to uninstall, just open windows device manager, then right click on n900 and choose uninstall, when it ask you if you are sure you want to uninstall it, there is an options to delete driver, tick it and click ok.

Iegendracer, I had a similar kind of problem (*% and stop) but my nokia has broken hw elements. There were two solutions: manual format emmc using rescueOS or flash vanilla image in r&d mode with flag(lifeguard).

C:\Program Files\maemo\flasher-3.5>flasher-3.5 -k 2.6.37 -n rescueOS-initrd-0.5.

executed flasher-3.5 -k 2.6.37 -n rescueOS-initrd-0.5.
4.img -l -b rootdelay root=/dev/ram0

removed both ""...still same thing...a screen blinked...
