Hey man, brilliant work, do you mind if I ask what's the difference between fennec and your qmlwebrowser?
Because that name is killing me :p

And something fennec does that yours doesn't, is that when you hold down your finger to bring up the URL bar, it vibrates. Would it be difficult to implement?

Automatically prevent the Swype keyboard using the spacebar when typing in the URL bar?

On some websites I cannot zoom in. eg, YouTube, definitely biggest issue for usability for me so far

An option to display the status bar?

Finally, any chance to have all the URL bars and ui features fade in with black surrounding them? (White icons, black background) Ifeel it will gel better with MeeGo as a whole, especially because I'm rocking the dark colours mod.

• lock scrolling to horizontal and vertical only for a big treshold like 10 degrees in both directions

is it possible to add in-page scrolling to the browser? for example scrolling the frames on a webpage or scrollable html5 elements?
mobile safari does that great, it would be even better if QmlMoz could do it. :)

yes i guess it is. tested it again, i think it does work but bulky. maybe more gpu love? :)

btw only openstreetmap works for me.

Along with the previous thing about the volume controls, still having problems with a bug I also had in the old fennec versions. Occasionally the browser gets stuck in pinch-to-zoom, and won't scroll the page at all. Haven't found a way out of this other than closing the browser. This doesn't happen very often that I've seen, but it's annoying when it does.

Still, this is already replacing the stock browser for many things for me. Pretty good, that, considering the version number!

Slow drag(vertical or horizontal) cause a 'w' like movement, since it rename to qmlmozbrowser. It this normal? Fast scroll didn't cause that.

Also how to clean cache and history?

Awesome browser so far!

Am I the only one with issues with opening links? Seems to me like I have to touch some links a couple of times before it decides to open? It does highlight, so I obviously hit it, but nothing else happens.

I have a problem with landscape browsing. The browser just reverts back to portrait mode and does not turn back to landscape.

It is quite strange. I just browse in landscape and suddenly (without turning the phone) view turns to portrait and can't be turned back. If I change volume the "profile bar" moves in long side of the phone so operating system must know that phone is held sideways, browser just shows the image on portrait (not a scaling problem, webpage is 90% turned and showing perfectly).

nice, thanks. works pretty well. the long tap doesn't work all the time. takes like multiple tries. and the zooming seems pretty cumbersome at the moment.

it's the only browser that works with pandora so far.

At first I would like to thank you for the browser. Amazing job!

I really like the speed of the browser, but there's one problem - waiting for the interface to appear after tapping is sometimes annoying, especially when trying to go back or forward several times. It would be great to have some gestures implemented to go back, forward or refresh fast, for example:

is it possible them to have option to select how long does the "long tap" lasts... i agree with jedrek... when browsing fast it does slows me down when going back...

@baboo i can't even open it in stock and fennec browsers. Site makers should burn in hell. It's worst site ever!
@Artyom in some future, yes.

I may have found a bug: setting QmlMoz as the default browser and using the feeds application works, but only if QmlMoz isn't running when a link is selected. If the browser is running already, clicking a link in feeds causes the browser to appear but the link isn't loaded.

Entering a menu from the start screen (History, or Settings) and then pressing the Back button does close the menu, but leaves me with an unusable white window. I have to restart the application to be able to use it again.

Other than that, awesome work! Keep it up and save us from the horror of Maemo's ******** web browsers!
