Changed Modern menu fixed rows to flickable rows. Tried to get out of Safe mode N9 reboot!

Coderus, big thanks for this cool stuff !

The test:
1. installation problem, it can't copy needed files to /.status-menu:
I copied them manually..

2. Netspeed have old problem, that fixed with profilematic and gconf commands

3. In status area i changed colors for level 2 and 3 of percentage line without any problem (use modern menu), but when i change percentage in level 2 from 60 to 30 and in level 3 from 30 to 20 it not want to save it, it always stay 60 & 30.

Any update for setting applet? :)

OK :)
1. Installation of sys-ui via aegis-dpkg -i (output above)
2. Installation of setting applet via dpkg -i (no problem)
3. Go to setting unrestricted system-ui
a. Changed to modern menu (no problem)
b. Activate led notifications for stuff that i need (no problem)
c. Activate netspeed: enable + when online + gprs (have old problem, not switched automatically when internet connection changed from wifi to gprs, i need press on wlan and press back on gprs button to get it shown on status bar, same when internet connection switched from gprs to wifi the indicator not disappeared, it stay on status bar, but not active.) Like i already said I fixed it with profilematic rule.
d. Status area. Activated all 3 parameters and changed colours for level 2 and 3 for percentage line. And when i try to change the percentage itself in level 2 and 3 it not change/save my changes, it stay on 60 and 30 (default parameters). I want yellow line on 30% and red line on 20%

Thanks for update, looks like it work now like expected :)
On previous version i was had another problem too that i noticed a few min ago.
My battery was low 25% and it jumped to 4% (known issue), but when i tried to charge my phone it not charged and percentage indicator not changed from "*4%" to "+4%". I Tried a few different refreshes but nothing helped. At the end the number disappeared and i Saw "*%". Only reboot helped.. But after reboot it had another problem it always asked me about passwords Of all my 4 mail accounts and not always vkb appeared.
I don't know if it related to new system-ui or setting applet.
Installed new version of setting applet, i changed setting of percentage line and it saved my setting :)
Rebooted phone once and it looks ok, not asked my passwords.
I will try reboot a few times again and will report later (need charge my battery a little :) )

I can't find it out, how to enable the extensions. I can make the fixed/flickable rows white, but it doesn't persist. There's a safe mode entry in the sys-ui but clicking yes on the remorse dialog doesn't change anything.

In my N9 any! change in row settings in Menu extensions need Restart of sysuid to take effect.

Lesson one at my N9 is: Do'nt ever use the Restart sysuid button inside Usys-ui always use the Restart sysuid in Power menu, then effect will take place without problem:)

Using inside Restart sysuid every time gives above showed red Safe mode and reboot is needed. Trying to remove Safe mode ex. by using Restart sysuid from Power menu only reboot device.

Changing between Standard and Modern mode automatic reestart sysuid (and no problems) so here inside Restart sysuid button not needed either.

I'm unable to get menu extensions to work through settings.

Only thing that is activated is notifications on the menu. Selecting other menu extensions on settings has no effect at all on the menu.

Installed also system-ui-brightness-qml and system-ui-widgets through trusted repository and they do show on the settings, but can't get them show on the menu itself.

What am I doing wrong ??

Coderus, I have a little problem with uninstallation process... Don't know if someone else have this, but here is a solution.
1. Uninstall duicontrolpanel-unrestricted-settings
2. reinstall system-ui

The result see in attached image... Refreshes and reboot not help, helped only reinstallation of:
I think uninstallation of duicontrolpanel-unrestricted-settings somehow cause this :)

PS. Tested with applets...
Can confirm a problem with refresh inside a menu...
1. Use modern menu
2. in fixed rows volume down (qml-brightness up)
3. pressing refresh from the right lower corner and the result is "Save mode" pressing on "yes" in save mode not do nothing... Manual refreshing also not do nothing, trying to refresh again from right lower corner and result is reboot :D

I did the same test but now I refreshed from n9qt button (simple refresh = only sys-ui) and it did a job without any problem. System-ui refreshed and I got result that I wanted. Same back... Don't know why refresh from right lower corner cause to this (save mode + reboot).

Another interesting thing, after installation of all this stuff:
(sys-ui, server, unrestricted-settings and all my applets), in the phone setting I not saw separated menu named "Unrestricted System UI", all menus somehow inserted into Applications :D But after reboot that accidentally happens from right lower corner, The "Unrestricted System UI"appeared, including all menus :)

PS2. Tried to remove all this stuff, now it removed correctly (no problem like in image).
Installed again all my stuff and in this time "Unrestricted System UI" menu appeared like it should be :D

PS3. In both tests, after installation you can see red text above the brightness-qml line (image 2). Line itself work without any problem (system+hacky). And when I switch to modern menu the red text changed to normal "Brightness" :)

i think you need to set back StatusIndicatorMenu value in sysuid.conf to StatusIndicatorMenuVerticalView ;)

and red text in applet means you installed system-ui-unrestricted-server without proper privileges.

Why i need to change this ? If i will change it, it switched to use "standard menu" and i want to use "Modern menu" and it should be DropDown in sysuid.conf :confused:

Which privileges i need for this ? I installed it with "aegis-dpkg -i"
And why when i switched to modern menu (it do refresh) and red text switched to normal word "Brightness" ?

PS. I reinstalled again all this stuff from scratch, but now i Used:

No more red text above the brightness line :D
But don't understand why in previous command it got red text :confused:

If you used N9QT (tweak T-3), remove all from this tweak and do all manually with new sys-ui... Or wait for new version that will include this...

Hi guys, appreciate all your work, been following for almost two years now, have an n9, had inception and all the other relative hacks. Saw this ui with no need for inception. I uninstalled my other ui (mohammadAG) and installed this one, love the new tweaks. I have everything working - but for the life of me i cannot get the menu extensions to show up in the status bar. tired refresh thru n9qt, tried refresh thru new power button menu and nothing. im asking for a little help in getting the extensions to show up. thanks

CODeRUS is right, CODeRUS's Unrestricted System UI from N9QTweak (or from another thread) has the same name of the deb file in the first post (system-ui_1.3.2-1+0m8_armel.deb), but isn't the same file, because the deb file from the first post has the correct dependencies for the duicontrolpanel-unrestricted-settings.deb.

Now, in order to install all correctly you must install (and replace if you have another version) first the system-ui file then the unrestricted-settings (install twice with trusted privileges).

@coderus - ive uninstalled everything and re-installed twice, i cannot get the menu extension to show up in the status bar. i have the netspeed and battery bar working fine, no extensions though. installed system-ui-tool & system-ui-widgets, and nothing. at a loss. any advice? thinking of re-flashing so that i have a clean slate.

@coderus, if by settings you mean the duicontrolpanel settings, then yes they have been installed. so when the unrestricted system ui is opened in the settings app, then click on menu extensions, in modern menu it gives me options, tools, widgets, presencex internetconnection, and so on. (grey) click to make them white. then if i restart sysuid from lower right corner, i get safety mode, if i slide to the side and use the power menu to refresh sysuid, the status bar refreshes and nothing changes.
I loved the extensions i had with inception, i just cant get yours to show up.
