Because you reported it wasn't working, I decided to try mine. I could call the Echo test call.

I don't know the answer to your more technical questions, but at least you have a data point that Skype still works on at least one N9.

Skype still works fine for me in the UK too, regularly use the group text chat.

As mentioned before (in this very thread, IIRC), the mentioned 3rd-party API has nothing to do with Skype's main functionality (audio/video calls, chats).

Skype still work in 2015 on N9. Wondering why, then on Symbian is long time ago all dead, login imposibble. But - many of my contacts appear to be offline, and in the same time on my desktop i see that they are online. Any other with this issue? Is there any system to see which contacts are affected by this problem?

This have had always happened to my n9,not a strange thing on my device.

Maybe contacts that use skype on mobile devices are still visible, and contacts on the new desktop verions made by Microsoft can't be recognized? I hope skype will keep working on N9, that is the best skype integration ever seen on mobile phone.

OT:
Well, webOS had the very same integration, coming with the HP Pre 3 that was released 1 month before the N9. :)

And of course the N900 has it as well.
