Country as country of residence.

Out of curiosity - should we expect any "pong" after sending our filled application? I send mine quite some time ago, and I'm still unsure if it got accepted, rejected, or even received. Not complaining - but some "ack" reply mail would be nice (especially, considering the "awesome" count of applications send), currently it looks like we're sending it to /dev/null.

Second that Estel....
I as well sent mine in some time ago with no reply since...even a reply that it was even received.
I understand if there is a manpower prob or some glitch...would be nice to know though..

Third that...

Though, it can probably wait until the Council elections are done. So, I am personally delaying the discussion until 5th of January.

Best wishes.

Hiya all!

Currently we have a bit of backlog to handle, as Chemist is off on holidays so we have not been able to process the incoming aplications as quick as we hoped :(

However, as @reinob points out, the membership roster can be seen on the e.V. wiki pages.
(and, if you for some reason do not want your username published on the page, please state so when sending in your application.)

Warm welcome to all new members!

Your mail-server knows that it is not in /dev/null

Sorry for a late reply, I was on vacation and will need some more days to get back on track.

Current standard procedure is: all applications will get accepted, if there are things missing I will contact that person prior to the invitation for this year's general assembly (or earlier).

I will get to it some day next week (probably Monday afternoon/evening).

Questions:

For the "Ort, Datum / Place, Date" field, what is the 'Ort/Place' part supposed to be? As in, where I am located at the moment that I signed the document?

Will I have a chance to change my IRC username in my member information later? I currently have the nick "MentalistTraceur" registered, which at the time I grabbed for clarity, but in the long term I'd like to register, and more extensively use, "mtraceur", as well. If possible I'd like to have both on file when that happens, and if I have to pick one, I'll probably want to switch to the other one. Will that be possible?

Yes. That's the standard way to sign such documents. (probably legacy now as of electronic formats but still...)

Without doing any consultation/checking at all, off hand I would say it has to be possible. If not, then it needs to be possible I guess.

The signature line is where you are when you sign, the other is related to your current address.

For IRC you can have several nicks registered with freenode, I myself have like 3or even 4 I guess. And changing member-data does not need more than an email or any other form of trackable request.

Okay, next question is, how specific does the 'Ort' have to be on that signature area? Am I putting a mailable address there, or is something as general as 'Florida, USA' acceptable? (I ask because that text field is rather short, so if I do it digitally with an address, I will need to mess around with font sizes and other formatting voodoo (get it onto two lines) to get it to fit in there.)

Want to count them, go -> http://wiki.maemo.org/MaemoCommunity_eV

You should have email about your application somewhat mid January.
