Re: Jolla at MWC 2017
INOI? OMP? I've no clue who these companies are without searching for them. Any personal experience? Are they quality? Are they like how Oppo and Xiaomi have embraced quality but at great prices?
It's good news that more devices are coming, albeit not in my market, but good nonetheless. |

Re: Jolla at MWC 2017
XZ with sailfish :D I'm in.
edit: But I think that it has more to do with the fact that there are some ports for xperia so Jolla is trying BS marketing than that SONY will jion officially since their mobile division is not exactly in great shape. edit 2: I'm glad that I was wrong. |

Re: Jolla at MWC 2017
If Sony is shipping now really with Jolla, i'm getting crazy. That would be a real milestone. And it would probably mean, that we are finally getting some good devices - not only a good OS.

"It's official, Sony Xperia X running Sailfish OS!"
https://twitter.com/JollaFr/status/836172199484620802 Hopefully that means Sony Xperia X can be bought with Sailfish already installed! Edit: https://twitter.com/JollaHQ/status/836173411420356608 |

Re: Jolla at MWC 2017
Sony would be an ideal partner..
Maybe some people here will get their ideal compact device this way. |
Re: Jolla at MWC 2017
I want Sony Compact with Sailfish or at least XA!
|
Re: Jolla at MWC 2017
Sony Open Mobil rumor confirmed:

@JollaHQ what do you mean devices. Do we just buy one Xperia and download official SFOS on it ? I guess we shall have to wait and see if we are to put Sailfish on the device or will they come preloaded with Sailfish. |

Re: Jolla at MWC 2017
"Jolla is aiming to release an official version of its Sailfish OS for a range of Sony Mobile’s Xperia devices"
Oh. |
Re: Jolla at MWC 2017
Q2/2017 - hopefully Sony X Dual will be supported, too, from the start.
|
Re: Jolla at MWC 2017
I guess my next phone will be a Sony. :D
|
Re: Jolla at MWC 2017
Definitely good news! Now I want Sony to release X Compact with dual sim :(
|
Re: Jolla at MWC 2017
So this means official support from Jolla including Alien Dalvik for (some) Sony devices.

Re: Jolla at MWC 2017
Here's the website for the Latin American device: http://accione.com/#/es/home
How are they still using screenshots from Sailfish 1.0? It even still says "Sonera" as the provider! |
Re: Jolla at MWC 2017
Re: Sailfish on Xperia
Say when, and I'll buy it like a shot! |
Re: Jolla at MWC 2017
By the end of Q2, according to the press release (see eekkelund's post)

would be great if they would support older hardware as well - would really like to have SFOS on my Z1 Compact :-) That's real great news - if there just hasn't been that little *soon*(TM) in the announcement  |
Re: Jolla at MWC 2017
does this explain the recent SFOS dev push to support 64bit Android.
and does this mark the official divergence of SFOS running on top of cyanogen to SFOS running on top of AOSP? |
