Ok, I've slept on it, and I think putting the broader options first is best, so that someone doesn't see "A black background theme like the old ITT format", thinks it sounds good, votes, and only then realized that the option "Any dark them would do" and realize that would be fine. So:

- Any dark theme would do
- Any black theme would do
- Any format other then the current one will do
- A black background theme with the same format of the current white background theme
- A black background theme like the old ITT format
- Classic theme (blue background, [whatever other info is appropriate])

So the next question is how to make sure everyone sees the poll. I know in some recent posts there were complaints about lack of communication with regard to the subforum changes, and someone linked to a thread that was posted in for a few days discussing those changes, but not everyone noticed it. Could this poll be stickied to the top of the forum it goes in and the top of the Active Topics for a (to be determined) amount of time to ensure proper consultation?

Anyway, just some more random thoughts.

He's right though, the whole set up seems kind of crowded. When I first saw the new look I really didn't like it. But I tried, I really tried to give it a chance. I thought I might get used to it. But honestly, I really don't like it. I know this whole thread is just ridiculous but I thought I would weigh in and say that I gave the new look a chance but I really don't think it was a positive change.

The new style is just this: style.
Unfortunately, function / readability / usability were forgotten. It's visual entertainement. The whole appearance is just overloaded. It becomes "incredibily difficult" to just read quickly through the contents of a thread.
While this might be ok for maemo.org itself (I like the new look), it's bad for the talk area.

I agree, the new theme wont even display correctly on the tablet using tear. When looking at subscribed threads it cuts off almost half the column where threads are displayed and there are no check boxes to delete or change subscribed threads.

Check the theme box at the bottom left, someone just pointed out in another thread that we now have classic blue and classic dark again.
