Oooh, I didn't know one needed to be a Maemo enthusiast to post here.

I bought the N800 the first week it was out. It's a matter of price, though. I'm very happy with my new Kindle. This would have to wait for awhile. I think the odds are against my ever buying one. I'm not interested in phones.

The phone "feature" is the main point of the whole device.
Still there's almost no mention in there?

He's left it to Nokia at Nokia World?
Or is not a phone? That would mean Nokia didn't ditch Symbian yet.

Just wondering... :)

Oh, did I break any unwritten forum rules?

I don't remember anything like that ever put in place since I joined the forum in 2007 when I bought my first NIT.

where are the green and red "answer-call" and "end-call" buttons???
they must be on the right side.. or simply only software buttons???
touch-sensitive-buttons like the n97???
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkekTvtaSTM
in this video we can see, that the buttons are barely seeable if the n97 is switched off.
also we can see, how fast the n97 boots. the rover should boot even faster...

What I find interesting is the call-type selector. If this means you can switch between cellular/SIP/skype/etc with a flick of a button (=use the same interface for ALL contacts regardless of *their* connectivity), that would be really nice (I daresay revolutionary).

So, is it fatal allergy to cellular connectivity (which you do not have to use btw) or is that Kindle hypnotizing you daily, as you go to bed? :)

Like certain ones that restrict WiFi channels 12 & 13? Be careful what you wish for :-)

You might be right. Else, there would be no need to have an alpha-numeric keyboard there ;-)
