Not every market is like the microsoft/apple one, where vista was the best OS ever and the original iphone was brilliant. ;)
Nokia had always targeted Oct release, the Maemo summit was on Oct 8. If they had planned for fixes to any feedback from developers they only realistically gave themselves less than 2 weeks for fix and QA(at least 1 week for developers to find issues) which is totally unrealistic for a release quality firmware.

They could not have "planned" the final release around potential feedback from developers.

they charged you on a sunday?

they charged (put a hold on the funds) on my credit card on 10/1/09 and then again on 10/10/09...and nothing since.


tomorrow is monday. i will see in the morning if they put a hold or actually charge my card.


the hold was placed by brightpoint (nokia directly) though i have a pre-order with nokia directly for 1 and also with expansysusa for one...but they will call me first.

"Nokia Brightpoint" authorized my card again on the 24th. Not a charge just a hold. I doubt we will have our phones in anything less than 30 days.

Several others have had cards charged or holds placed on card. We can assume wait is over when someone gets a shipping with delivery date notice. Until then nothing matters. Now back to watching videos to feed my desire.

i need an extreme help please in this decision
i have to travel outside usa for late december to lebanon soon ( in 14 november ) so at this page https://www.expansys.ae/checkoutcomplete.aspx i saw that they say the N900 can ship worldwide UK version and they charge like 40$ deleviry only but the strange thing in expansys.ae the only middle east country there. list the total price with shiping 720$ and in london there origin cost 500 pound which is offcourse more how is that ? and is it trusted that i make this deal with them? btw they say DHL shipping..
so please help me with that decesion and the 720$ price is good for me if it is safe thnx in advance :)
