does anyone know when the asus eee is supposed to come out? any pointers to some info on specs / pictures etc?

Does anyone have issues with Canola?
I installed it, but it gives "Error" each time I try to play something...either video or audio.

Worked out of the box for me.
I think with every piece of software, we should test it before and after restoring from backup and the ones that give issues should be added to the bug list. In the bug, include all you restored.

Several hours in to the new beta: nothing to add except that I haven't been having any random problems --- then again, I didn't bother with a backup/restore.

It works great although the animation runs a bit slow. Also, the device appears to boot MUCH faster than previously. Someone should time this.

i did not backupped or restored anything. weirD it does not work for me.
See This capitalized letters? anotHer bug (but it was present even before).
The Keyboard chooses, alone, to go capital once in a while.


EDIT: it works now. no iDea what happened

Yes, but it started before the update with the Canola Config program maxing out the CPU and killing the battery.

Issues:
  • Application Catalog not being read & won't refresh
  • All themes I try to install throw an incompatible error
  • xterm won't install
  • haven't tried gainrootl

Ah this is weird! I just noticed that the screen doesn't turn off anymore! It stays on all the time. Does anyone have the same problem??? I played with the "display" options in the control panel but nothing happened...
