hey guys,

question:

is it a bad idea to just add
export AEGIS_FIXED_ORIGIN=com.nokia.maemo
to /etc/profile?

i'm in open mode and tried to install pp via aegis-dpkg -i but it rejected a bunch of packages (from a less trusted source...)

You can also do export AEGIS_FIXED_ORIGIN=com.nokia.maemo and ENTER, then the dpkg -i *.deb and finally unset AEGIS_FIXED_ORIGIN and ENTER.
In this way all the commands, and the installations too, between export AEGIS_FIXED_ORIGIN=com.nokia.maemo and unset AEGIS_FIXED_ORIGIN have origix fixed.

no harm. its developer mode. it means this mode for developers. and developers know what to do ;)

the copy/paste problem is fixed in browser and notes, but in messages I still can't copy/paste :(

so i think i figured out what the problem is:

first time I installed power pack I used Inception because I was running stock kernel

with Inception AEGIS_FIXED_ORIGIN seems to be "com.nokia.maemo/local"

now with open mode kernel it's only "com.nokia.maemo" which is obviously a less trusted source ...

EDIT:

installation works for me if I
export AEGIS_FIXED_ORIGIN=com.nokia.maemo/local

there you go... ;)
