since nothing worked (raw html, pdf attachment...) I like to point you to
http://maemo.cloud-7.de/donations.html
for latest donations balance on my account

Not long and we can afford 3rd blade, which is what our sysop told me would be next best thing to get (need to discuss the off-site backup idea with him though)
Alas the paid professional maintaner that looks into all that autobuilder mess is out of sight. Maybe somebody would consider donating working hours rather than money? See http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...0&postcount=71

Hi
I'm wanting to acquire just the internals for the neo 900 for maybe 1 or 2 n900's
If i make a 200euro's donation will that go towards the purchase of 1 or 2 neo 900's?
And is the paypal link working yet?

Please use http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=91142, since this thread is about maemo infra funding, not about Neo900.
For "preordering" two devices you better do two donations a 100EUR.
Sorry, afaik we don't have a way to accept paypal - maybe dos1 knows better details.

Cheers

The curious cat wants to know about current status of funds?

It os now a year gone. And there were some real troubles (e.g. bank account locked, ...), so I just would like to know if current money flux is sufficient or is there any at all or we need anothder fundraiser action?

This question goes out to the council or whoever might want to share some info.
TIA

This was mentioned at today's meeting. Maybe check out the logs or wait for the minutes?

Would you be so kind as to post a reminder with the links to the logs for us mere mortals?

Re: FUNDRAISER - roof on fire

in short: the HiFo paypal account still not working. On my account there are some 2 to 3 donations of 5..15EUR per month. We have no expenses basically (except the stuff I sponsor which makes for the ever same ~70EUR per month). Sorry for being lazy with updating my excel sheet on http://maemo.cloud-7.de/donations.html but you can extrapolate this according to what's been stated in this post.
Basically HiFo isn't rich but not starving, due to lack of any real expenses.
For better detail please wait for some report directly from HiFo which they should publish every now and then anyway.

cheers and thanks for all the awesome support from community
jOERG

ps: logs to be found on http://mg.pov.lt/maemo-meeting-irclog/ (last) and meeting minutes on the community ML and maemo blog(if it works, which it should again meanwhile since 6 months), and of course on talk.m.o

To be clear, the HiFo bank account issues have been resolved, and the current Board can access funds again. The PayPal account linkage has not yet been re-established, which is mainly my bad. I've been dealing with a few issues in my personal life and this has fallen by the way side. I am hopeful that the PayPal linkage will be up again soon, but more for helping in paying our bills than for soliciting funds, honestly.

As Joerg noted, the Foundation currently has very few expenses and a reasonable amount in the bank. We do have a couple of long out-standing reimbursement requests to re-address, and possibly some other upcoming fees for (minor) legal items (required announcements, tax filings, etc). But outside that, the foundation is not currently hurting for funds thanks to the strong support shown by members at our start up.

Currently if you're looking to throw money at something to help the community at large, I personally suggest you look at funding Joerg's campaign to keep other important resources and activities alive, including the Neo900 project. I have full faith that he will handle funds for those projects with proper diligence, as he has already proven himself over the past several years in this regard.

To be clear, the above is a personal recommendation, and should not be taken as a view held or promoted by the Hildon Foundation, it's Board, nor construed as legal advice or political endorsement in any form. :D

I think we can safely remove "roof on fire" from thread title by now. :)
As soon as HiFo-paypal works again, we will post here.

It would be nice to have an official thumb repository hosted on maemo.org, along with autobuilder and extras/extras-testing/extras-dev. If there would be a need for additional capacity to support that, the donations could be used for that?
