I don't see a chess game in the compatibility list on the first page of this thread...that is really the only thing I am interested in so if it does not exist or work I would not bother...can anyone tell me if there is a working webos chess game? thanks much...

how do i get Ground Effect working, its shows the movie/gameplay but when i hit the screen to continu, its crashes, trye'd some things already but cnat figure it out on my owne:( Thanks in advance!!

Surprisingly, i get the vid too in NOVA, it plays perfectly....but not in asphalt, only sound...and i dont have the other games.

maybe you should start the game and don't tap the screen the video should play

I don't get videos either unless its plugged into the TV. From what I've read thats just how it works.

in all games includng NOVA i don't tap and wait but also don't get any video unless its plugged into the tv as jaimex2 said

hi , i installed some games on n900 ,[via X-term - games like dungeonhunter ] , they are not working and i want to remove them .

pls could some1 give me a link or instructions on how to ?!

I created icon for Ground Effect, executed with it, clicken on Race, application teminated itself. :\

How to remove nfsuc which is installed by auto installer . I cant remove with the instruction in preenv wiki.Can sb help?

are you the same person i just answered in the other forum ? anyway
first uninstall the auto installer from app manager
then as root

rm -rf /home/user/.local/share/application/hildon/nfsu-palm.desktop

rm -rf /home/user/.local/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon/nfsu-palm.png

rm -rf /home/user/.local/share/dbus-1/services/nfsu-palm.service

if the icon is still there search for it using

find /usr/share/applications/hildon -name "*nfsu*"

find /home/user/.local/share/applications/hildon -name "*nfsu*"

and remove any nfsu file

go to the shortcut in the hildon folder, add "sudo " at the start of the execution command and remove the server line beneath.
run again and it will work.

When I run from XT I get this error:

error while loading shared librarires: libSDL_net-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

By the way, I know there is errors, I actually used th code below:

I just copied the gamefolder com.gameloft.app.hawx to /home/user/ using Filebox

then entered xterm;

sudo gainroot

mkdir -p /media/cryptofs/apps/usr/palm/applications
ln -s /home/user/com.gameloft.app.hawx/ /media/cryptofs/apps/usr/palm/applications/
cd /home/user/com.gameloft.app.hawx/hawx
chown -R user:users /home/user/com.gameloft.app.hawx/hawx
chmod +rwx hawx
chmod -R 777 /home/user/com.gameloft.app.hawx/
preenv

Sounds like you haven't installed libsdl-net1.2...

This worked, but with choppy sound. Still playable, but strange that it runs smootly from terminal with:

Maybe we can produce a fake multitouch on N900 just like the palm webos emulator for windows. In PC, the touch(mouse) input goes into a small delay time(e.x: 0.3 seconds for each,modifiable by user) allowing user to send the second touch input and so on, after the delay time is over emulator will send them to the virtual device all at once, forcing some kind of multitouch, altough it will distrub the gamers' experience but it's better than no multitouch.
running the games with the windows palm emulator, I have also found that some games(like guitar hero 5) runs in portrait mode(unlike games like NFSUC and sims 3 that would run on landscape mode) so they will need a different kind of orientation and I see;some games require external library that is not available for N900 yet and need to be compiled for it; hope that helps.

I think you can't have multi touch emulation this way if you don't have multi-touch support in X server. You can send two input signal to the server at the same time, but it will always see one signal at a time without mulitouch support.
