looks like we should expect some delay...

Someone already stated this in the previous posts recently. And there can be much speculation about the actual reason.

Or they just have enough, so the people that pre-ordered would be the first batch! That's the thing that I only hope.

Is the amazon page saying that it will work with AT&T 3g bands? Is that a mistake?

It has been corrected since I posted the link yesterday. It now says that it works only with T-mobile 3G (scroll down to the little shart on the right side):

Got off the phone with amazon and they said because they filled all their preorders that they are expected to get so thats why they arent taking more orders, not because of a delay.

Kind of what I thought. Just hoping for a release soon.

Amazon might already have them in there warehouse. A friend of mine ( who works for Amazons marketing dept ) couldn't come out and say it directly but he hinted that if all goes well people should start enjoying there devices before the end of the month....which is only three days away!

I hope he's right, I've got mine on overnight shipping ( only $3.99 with 3 free month trial of Prime)

IMO the Nokia N900 is the 1963 Aston Martin DB5 of phones (which is a good thing if you know your cars and what I'm talking about) and the iPhone a Ford Pinto....have an iPhone and I hate it, can't wait till the N900 gets here.

Heh, now it also says

Additionally, this phone can be paired with 900/1700 MHz HSPA 3G networks in the United States (as well as 2100 MHz 3G networks found around the world, including in Europe and Asia)
'Cause you know, the U.S. is just blanketed with 900Mhz 3G coverage LOL.

Close enough, I guess....at least folks won't confuse it with being AT&T compatible.

Haha, as much as I like/hate (notice how it's not love/hate but like/hate) the iPhone. I do have to say though the iPhone has alot more applications available. Granted not all of them really should be apps >.> but there are useful ones that we probably will never see on the n900 due to lack of popularity.
