Re: FIFA World Cup App ?
I downloaded the .4 version from this thread, can the missing packages not be installed on their own?
|
Re: FIFA World Cup App ?
Actually... I recommend against installing it now as a newer version is imminent and you won't have the trouble :)

Re: FIFA World Cup App ?
I'm happy to announce that QSportsEvent 0.0.5 is on its way to Extras-Devel!
UNINSTALL ANY PREVIOUS VERSION Main changes from previous version: 1) It should hopefully be possible to install from Extras-Devel with all dependencies brought in automatically. My device already has all dependencies, so I'm not able to test this... For those who are doing a fresh install, please let me know how it goes! 2) No more auto-shutdown problem! 3) Database is now writable, so you can add and remove favourites! Please note that future versions of QSportsEvent might make you loose any configurations you do, so don't add too many favourites and take note (and share...) any good URLs you add. 4) Several UI improvements. I won't bother to list them all. You'll see them. What you should NOT play around with: 1) The 'import' function. It works alright, it's just that at the moment it is more for my own loading of the database. 2) For historical and future feature reasons, you will still see the Games and Standings tabs. I've tried to make them invisible, but that doesn't seem to work. Just ignore them for now... Experimental 1) The new 'rate players' screen is there. To my great disappointment, I was not able to get it in portrait mode, which is the only usable mode. Apparently it should be trivial with Qt 4.6, so I'll wait until PR 1.2 is out before revisiting this. By default it comes loaded with Inter Milan's players. In principle, you could load other teams through the import->TeamRooster screen and button, but you won't be able to do much with it at the moment... You may wonder what this is all about... I'll elaborate later... Known bugs: 1) I have a feeling something is still wrong when you try to add favourites, but I can't exactly put my finger on it. 2) Not really a bug, but in the favourites screen I plan to change the 'region' text to icons instead. So, England would become an icon of the English flag. 3) Fingerscrolling in the Select tab is a pain... I guess is default Qt behaviour, so not much I can do about it now... 4) Fingerscrolling not working in webkit tabs (Table, Matches and Update Scores). That's all! Keep bug reports and feature requests coming! And finally, thanks to the contributors without whom the app would look a lot, I mean a LOT more boring! Disclaimer! Please note that the app does use your internet connection. I have no idea if it's a lot or not. I believe it should not be too bad. The only worry I have is about the 'Update Scores' page which is supposed to reload automatically every 60 seconds. If you are not on an unlimited data plan or on WiFi, use it with caution... |
