Could it be that there are still the old versions of the files somewhere on the SD card or the internal flash memory?
If stuff appears twice, it's usually because the stuff actually exists twice. The index is cleaned from removed files every time at MediaBox startup.

MAFW is already the default backend on the N900. So if it supports AVRCP, it should work while playing music. I have no compatible headset to test this stuff, though.

It does not appear twice in mafw.

AVRCP works only, when mafw is running in background, for example when
mediaplayer-widget is active. But the widget is very buggy. I think, I have to start
mafw in background like the widget does. But how?

has anyone found a solution for not being able to download anymore youtube videos on my n900 trough mediabox????

it was awsome being able to just download, for latter watching the videos, but it doesnt work any more!.... it stop working a few days ago..... now i can not even watch videos!!!

please help!!...

Pycage, thanks so much for all your work.

I'm loading around 30GB of music from a USB flash drive into MediaBox. When I go to a view that lists albums, it is too slow to be usable. Frequently it takes several minutes before tapping on an album will cause the little selection box to be drawn around it. Until this happens I can't drill into an album to see/play its songs.

Would it help to be able to disable album art? I'm missing album art for 95% of my music anyway, so it doesn't help. Or is MediaBox scanning each of my thousands of files to ensure they are all still on the disk?

Are you using the latest version of MediaBox? I thought that had been fixed already.

Indeed, scanning for album art is the culprit as it's looking for embedding album art if no image files are found.
The problem clearly shows when having lots of albums without cover art.
I'm trying to come up with a better solution.

I'm running MB 20100724 (on the N900), and I have a couple of issues. The main screen ("Tap here to access your media") keeps popping up. I will do the tap thing, then the shelf comes up, then sometimes, it will go back to the main screen. Also, sometimes, the shelf will come up, but any added folders (like my Podcasts directory) are missing. and I have to hit the home icon one or more times to get it to find them.

Has this been reported? I apologize for not having more specific information, but I haven't been able to determine a pattern yet, and I wanted to get it out there to see if anyone else is seeing it.

I have another issue:
If pausing and resuming, the current track starts from beginning.

Works fine with me. timer does reflect zero when resumed but only a split second and continues where it previously paused.

yah, this has been fixed already.:D you should also have 2 video quality options.
