Some manufacturer that knows hardware can now think about MeeGo without entering a Nokia boat. I liked the hardware of my Samsung phone, or HTC maybe ;-)

PS. I wouldn't miss dislodged USB ports or flash chips...

Hate that I was right about the invasion :(

When Nokia's support of N810 sucked (its still terribly buggy), and then the N900 support cycle dropped in less than a year (right?), it should have been a good indication that nokia was on a decline.
Next phone will def be HTC

Indirectly, they both are. A few comments have helped me see that.

Symbian goes, MeeGo pushed out to hobby OS, Qt was the programming language of choice for both... and it's not yet fully incorporated into WP7. Qt is looking a bit on the edges there.

It is NOT a programming language. It's an application framework + gui.

Glad i jumped to iOS sept last by buying iphone4. No regrets as i still use my n900 as a music player in the toilet. Hope to sell it when i buy iP5 later this year.

Have been discouraging any person slightly interested in Nokia and N8. To hit the nail further i show them many apps which i have and they are in totoal awe of this phone.

As of now, no. Not sure if anyone will now since Nokia was pretty much the main company pushing that front. Intel was more targeting the UMPC, tablet, netbook, etc.. front.

Whooa, what a hype today :D

I was on the Tube heading back home and founded some article about Nokia and MS marriage. I've almost stopped the train!

Seriously, so much waste of effort from open source community.

And now what?

Choice between
WP7 / Android / iOS / maybe RIM

Open source is ****ed up in this game basically.
I would like to think that was difficult decision for Nokia but base on past experience I can assume they don't care about us. And that decision wasn't difficult for them at all.

Goodbye Nokia
