"Soon" is placeholder if you didn't get it yet. The funny fact is if they did not have a new screen why would they tell us that they changed it to better one. I hate those PR lies, while some people called this transparency as they informed us after all that screen is changed ;)

Soon is a placeholder?

No new screen?...are you saying it's scam?

I'm saying that they probably have/had difficulties with getting hw, e.g. bump with previous supplier, the one they thought to use when they opened campaign and difficulties now to find new one. But it might be bad for PR, so they described it as "updating for better" or what can be the reason to be silent on that. Placeholder in meaning "we can't tell truth, will not just hide, but clean it up with telling it's good for users"

Reminds me a bit of all the problems getting hardware the Vivaldi tablet had.

Ok. Now I see what you are saying. However...that is what companies always say 100% of the time. Equal or better :D

It's finally june! The magic month when the first tablets will be shipped to endusers (read: selected devs) But still expect nice reviews by the end of the month. Looking good!

Now I know you've read the Jolla blog about this - but what it actually says is "ship a number of loan devices to selected developers by the end of June" (note the avoidance of the phrase 'in June')

The careful wording - and bitter experience - suggests to me that only a few devices will ship before end of June, and that they really do mean end of June (possibly beginning of July)

Also note the paragraph that states that the selected developers will have to sign up to a a Product Loan Agreement. Typically these include confidentiality/NDA clauses for pre-release software/hardware (which Jolla make very clear is what they are providing)

So, no, unlikely we'll see reviews of any kind by the end of June.

The question is if you have good product, why don't you want to get reviews? Especially they were happy to get some award of best tablet or product when they showed the tablet.

The question is: why rush? Indiegogo campaign ended, no need for advertising ATM

you mean — money paid, no rush? Maybe because they already on delay, and maybe they already failed once with sudden hw changes and delay with deliver for preorders? Or maybe because meanwhile 2 versions of android OS were out and even 2 of blackberry and no competitor is waiting, meanwhile they need devs to make apps and more users to get more devs?
