if you check the VM site you'll find in the UK their idea of "unlimited" might only be such if you were on a 300 baud modem using a bit of wet string to connect to the internet, and screw you over massively if you go over.

that's why I defected to Three, who are a teensy bit more honest and it's easy to buy a bit more data!

Nokia is "maybe" shipping on the 9th Nov,

MPD Ship 16th Nov

Play.com says 20th Nov and so on,

Nokia will ship to people who have pre-ordered through there sites first then MPD, and play, Amazon and expansys +others after

Online chat with NokiaUSA today said mid-november.

And before I even asked anything else, he mentioned "we dont have any more specifics than 'mid-november' as a release date" - as if he was like - dont ask me anything more as I can't answer ... poor guys must have been asked this same question a thousand times already ... :)

well if you guys want you can try to get two N900's one for 559 and one for free. Newegg is doing a sweepstakes for a free one if you answer some questions and fill out this form. not to mention the product preorder page gives a nice postulate date of Nov 14th, which for some reason I want to believe since out of all the specultion and 700+ post of a "ruffly assumed", so to speak, mid Nov release... pluse its free shipping so i didnt cancel my amazon preorder yet, just to see who does it first...


Like and old western, the last to ship gets the bullet "so to speak" .. since newegg is cheaper I hope they'er the quick draw in this one

Does the N900 comes with a standard screen protector just like any other Nokia N-series ? N95 came with a screen protector and it has been really good against scratches.

Just rang up Nokia UK to find out for myself what was going on.

The bloke seemed pretty sure and without hesitation at all he said...

'It will be in our warehouses next monday'

Yep hope we get them on the tuesday ,i spoke to the nokia shop in manchester and they told me they would have the n900 in on this friday, but me got good discount throgh nokia direct so i will have to wait till tues fingers crossed.:D

Same here, managed the 3 discounts but i ordered a device with 2 discounts previous and it's still showing on my Nokia account. So i may end up with 1 for £306 and another for £360.

Too scared to chase up the cancellation of the £360 incase they fek the £306 one up.

you know what guys, i really doubt that the N900 is released the 9th of nov (Nokia Shop @ UK)... i mean come on, we have not even heard from Peter nor have we heard anything official from Nokia.. and i just don't see the ppl at the online shopsupport as trustworthy sources..

Think about it, if the phone is going to be released in 5 days, that should mean its done, the N900 is ready. And therefore we should see official statements from Nokia... Correct me if im wrong but there is nothing official, and still all nokia shops have different estimated release dates, some of them doesn't even have a date anymore (Sweden).

Thats why im very skeptical for the 9th of nov as release date in UK.. But i truly hope that im wrong.

Like I said, keep in mind that the n900 may be different per region due to regulations and the hqrd keyboards so you really can't compare a USA release date estimation to UK or Germany. Not sure if Sweden gets its own localized version.

If you can pass one day without sleeping It will go faster of about 1 less sleep.
