Hopefully the weekend doesn't slow things down for you.

I will probably pull the trigger tomorrow. Hopefully someone can chime in about welectronics and getting it cheaper. I saw it had something to do with ceroberts and the person "Luis" who works there but not sure if that works for everyone.

made in finland has no bearing on how the device performs. it's a myth. i've owned more than 10 n series devices and can personally attest to this.

I got a blue and a red one in Germany on a recent visit, for about 450€ each. Where did you find it for 399?
BTW, mine are also both made in Finland. So I don't have to feel too bad personally in light of the recent NYTimes series)

What I'm really after is a blue (cyan) 64GB model though. welectronics has them for US$ 825, almost everyone else has the 64 GB only in black. Is there a better price somewhere?

I ordered, like a week ago, a black N9 64Gb on fnac.pt. The order looks ok, although now the N9 has disappeared from the web . The order status says "Em tratamento Logístico". This looks like out of stock although I am not sure what it means.

Did any of you guys successfully bought from fnac.pt?

FWIW, welectronics does have a legit 64GB Cyan N9 variant, as in, they are made in China.

You likely won't find them anywhere else. I understand it was a limited production run, and short of buying a black 64GB and a either a dummy or 16GB cyan and swapping the housing, this is the easiest route for "regular people".

Reordered a 64 Black from Welec. Hard to swallow the extra cost over the other place but at least this one is on it's way and they aren't frauds. Super, super excited!!! Need to list and sell the GN and move everything over once it gets here.

Wow! So no wonder all those ebay sellers were offering N9's for cheap. I heard Claro has (had) $200 ETF?

Guys just a heads-up. I called Welectronics and the guy has ONE cyan 16gb N9 that is a Finland version.

If you've been waiting to grab one of these, call the guy and purchase it over the phone. Apparently it's costlier to buy stuff from them over the web.

Hey all, as most of you know, I've been calling and pestering Overseas Electronics, better known as welectronics.com for the past few months about the white N9. Well, my persistance paid off. This morning I received a call informing me that white N9's would be in stock later today (early tomorrow). I immediately placed an order for one and was told it would most likely ship to me on Monday but there's a chance it could ship on Saturday. The white N9 is almost mine. I'll report back here once I get it to let you all know if it's branded, what firmware it has and any other questions you may have. Needless to say, this weekend is going to be excruciatingly long.

From what I heard these guys are legit. There's no Hong Kong mess around they're website. They have awesome reviews on Amazon and they're an Ebay Power Seller, so from the rapport I've gathered, they seem good to go. I'd buy from them through Amazon though for a better return policy and possible added layer of protection if something were to go down. Plus, they also appear to have an NYC Storefront, so if something goes down it's only a short trip for me to go lay the smackdown on them.

Simply Electronics supposedly has them as well, for a cheaper price even. Check it out. They're selling them for 585.95, but I will say I've found some shadier reports on them, but people here on TMO swear by them. I'm still trying to make my final decision on who to buy from, so we're in the same boat man... If you take the dive before me, report back so I can hopefully make the right decision as well. I'll make sure to do the same!

I just gave me AT GSM a call. The female assured that they have both the Black and White 64GB's ones in stock. She wouldn't give me an exact number, but she seemed extremely assured. I pretended as if I lived in NY and was planning on walking to the store and she said "Come right in and it will be here." She seemed pretty trustworthy even though she didn't speak phenomenal English. AT GSM and Simply Electronics both appear to be "US-based" meaning they at least have a US address. AT GSM actually has a storefront in NYC that you can actually walk in and purchase phones. I've read so many horror stories about Simply that I'm really considering buying it through AT GSM because they seem more reliable(Amazon account with great reviews. They're an Ebay Power Seller, again, with great feedback. They accept Paypal and other secure checkout methods and unlike Simply, couldn't find all these problems with complaints of fraud and scams).

I've considered them myself, but they scare me a bit.

Number 1- They have really screwy pricing. They charge drastically different prices depending on where you see them. Here's the 64 GB Black from them(they go by 4 different names by the way: Transformersandgsmphones, Overseas Electronics, Welectronics, and Popular Electronics)...
