A fair chance for Jolla to get the next community device at a nice price. :)

I would think Sony offered the X knowing the low sell thro' rate to make use of surplus stock.

Let's hope they don't pull a Jolla C.

Note: These were only some of the models supported by the open device program:
https://developer.sonymobile.com/ope...and-resources/

well, considering how old they are, nothing surprisng there.
But that's not the point: It's not about X and X compact, it's about future devices that should have been in that segment which they are abandoning now. So from now on only premium XZ or whatever and low end MTK crap. But considering the prices of those 3 (X, X compact and X performance) no wonder that they din't sell. X was basically the successor of M4 aqua for twice the price.

Is that so wise? Given the little info we have and jollas track record lately.

They fooled us once don't give them the possibility to do it twice.

Don't you think it's smarter to wait for jolla to release more info before buying a device that might get support?

While it would be fun with S8, iPhone8, Sony Xperia Super Sailfish is just a beta OS still, no hw available at all for most customers for years, trying to get second refund so they obviously need money. We should be happy if they get anything even semi working to the market...

i agree with your opinion on jolla, i think a lack of vision is what driving jolla elsewhere. i have been using aqua fish as a primary device but i dont have any other alternative besides maemo which is outdated and android which i dont like. by the way i have seen your comments about refund on other websites too, good luck with that, ;)
