This is sudo problem, as qole explained. Similar may happen, when You try to sudo apt-get, but meanwhile the Nokia App Manager is still open.

It seems if i unplug the USB i see the stuff on my SD card, but if i leave it plugged in i get an empty line for
"sudo ls -l /media/mmc1
When You connect Your mobile via USB to a computer, You are asked about Suite mode or Mass Storage mode or none of them.
If You select Mass Storage, then the "full access" of the first fat partitions on eMMC and SD card are handed over to PC and unmounted from N900. Of course You can not see any files anymore.

However with it unplugged i still get the same result with the apt-get command
That means, the package is already installed. Just go to the menu (system or others) and click Deb Img Install

qole:I am able to put the file image in my docs now but still there is a problem,when i try to run any of the easy deb icon i get this messege:

ERROR!

The image specified (/home/user/MyDocs/debian-m5-v3d.img.ext2:) does not exist or is neither
a regular nor a block special file.

First parameter must be an image file or partition

what do i do next?

@lyanyola:

Perhaps someone has probably said this already, but please be sure that your n900 is NOT connected to your PC in "mass storage" or "PC suite mode" when trying to use Easy Debian. Those modes render the MyDocs and memory card directories inaccessible to Maemo. This would result in the error you describe. If you've already been through that, I apologize, and encourage you to keep going until you get it to work. It's a great program.

I search Easy Debian without Apps (only basic debian fs +++ xorg(fvwm!))? Where I find it (basic, not fvwm)?

Yes, I uninstalled openoffice and installed libreoffice. Had to activate the unstable and experimental debian repos for that, and hashed them out after.
