Sounds like those packages are broken.
Remove them.

Thanks for the info. I removed all kernel-power-packages and running only kernel-cssu now. What i don't understand is:
Which kernel is better / newer:
kernel-power53 or kernel-cssu3 ?

i read that kernel-cssu is based on kernel-power51r1, so the kernel-power53 is newer? or am i wrong?

Thanks

With regards to thumb version, compared to 0.7-4+thumb1 it appears to be missing the following commits, one to check apt-get in a different place and one to make sure we have a thumb enabled kernel.
https://github.com/community-ssu/com...f94a93cc825c0c
https://github.com/community-ssu/com...552986d7a904b5

Took me longer than expected, but anyway the changes are merged in thumb-testing branch and community-ssu-enabler (0.7-5+thumb0) is in the cssu-thumb repo

Hello guys,
Cannot install latest update, because of missing libspeex1 (>= 1.2-beta3-1). Haven't been here for a while. What repos are needed for latest thumb? Thx.

To update to latest Thumb it required me to have:
libspeex1
dsme-thermalobject-surface

As for libspeex1, I succeeded to get it after enabling some repo in App Manager (I believe that was Community SSU testing: http://repository.maemo.org/community-testing/), then in X Terminal:
Code:

sudo gainroot
apt-get update
apt-get install libspeex1

But I still can't get dsme-thermalobject-surface
What repo should I enable or add or whatever to get it?

Welcome here on TMO.

Please have a look here
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=95870

Disable all old (shutdown) Nokia repos and enable them from http://maemo-repos.com. Easy via click on web site.

Do I have kernel power after installing thumb or I need to install it from the repos? I have completely forgotten how it was. uname -a shows that there is a specific cssu kernel but is it the power one?

Well, if you haven't installed kp, then you have kernel-cssu. which is a different thing.

I don't remember if htere was much hassle to install kp afterwards.

'uname -r' should give you a string ending in -power.. If you'd had it installed.

If I remember correctly from last summer, there wasn't.

AFAIK, kernel-power is more up to date, if such a term is even appropriate.
I do not remember the last time kernel-cssu was updated.
