I have hexedited all instances of 31302e31 to 31322e31. Restarted browser and browserd processes.
about:plugins shows Flashplayer at version 12.1
Adobe's site still shows 10.1 (see Attachment pic)
Is this normal?

EDIT:
Rebooted and doublechecked the hexedit (I have used hexeditors for decades, I used to work in Windows driver development). No change.

EDIT2: Do all 4 instances of 31302e31 have to be edited or just the first 3? Or 2? Im not 100% sure I understand the instructions correctly.

EDIT3: Most Flash sites I try work fine albeit slow inc alfa romeo. Myvideo.de doesn't. I end up in an endless loop of "only one commercial" without ever getting to the content. The site works fine on the SGS3 with Flash 11 and Jellybean. However myvideo.de uses too high resolution and bitrate for the N900 hardware anyway.

WTF are you talking about, N9 already has FP10.1, it's officially in the store. :rolleyes:
I'm not sure if one can hexedit to fake 11x or 12x, cant recall now, think others have done so, but that's in other threads, not this.

Twice, in two places change
5. Once in Hexedit, press CTRL+S and type in 31302e31 and press enter, the string you've just found need to be changed to 31322e31

6. Now, press CTRL+S, type "y" and search for 31302c31 and change it to 31322c31.

31302e31 to 31322e31
and
31302c31 to 31322c31

0 to 2
