Re: MeeGo forum? (maemo.org round)

umm.. forgive me if I'm being a bit dim - signed up for meego.com and mailing lists a week or so ago, when I go to http://forum.meego.com, sign in with the exsisting credentials I get a 404 not found... assumed with the SSO it should work?

(Nice one for getting it up so soon :))

Here is a small bug, not worthy of a Bugzilla entry:

If you are not logged in, and try to log-in from the Forum itself, you'll be redirected to http://meego.com/user/login?destination=forum , but after successful login you won't return to http://forum.meego.com subdomain - instead you'll be transferred to http://meego.com/forum, which will result in 404.

Now to say hello there ;)

Thanks for all the hard work, Reggie (and to everyone else that helped).

Yes, that's indeed a bug. That should be fixed within the day.

Thanks.

I'm concerned about the responses from Quim and Dawn to my question about the MeeGo Community section. I really like the way this one has developed (with the caveat that I continue to think new member orientation belongs here rather than under General).

I'm with you. This is the one forum I always check - usually twice a day. If I get nowhere else on maemo.org due to time pressure, I look in here.

'Community working group' is something I don't feel I belong to. I'm not entirely sure I ever could: I get the community mailings, and much of what I read leaves me feeling ignorant and really not part of it. By comparison, I felt at home here almost at once. I read your thread, Texrat, but to be honest I felt too shy over there to log in and post (and scurried back here to reply to you!)

Don't be shy. Sign up and comment! Your voice is needed (especially by me!)

If nothing else you could always just click Thanks. :D

'Community Working Group' gave me same kind of queery feeling I got when Meego was annouced and I went to check Moblin community site.

Please voice your opinion there. I did my first post on Meego forums about the subject and seem to have survived. :)

Community management (Quim and Dawn) continue to prefer "work" being part of the subforum title. I continue to disagree. Regardless, I strongly urge everyone to participate in the discussion at the MeeGo forum. That includes people who think I'm full of it. ; )

This is your opportunity to contribute to the direction taken!

I want to thank those who have made the effort to join the forum-shaping discussion(s) at meego.com, whether you agree with my position or not. Our high engagement will make the difference between a corporate vs community atmosphere.

I think I have the solution, and posted at the meego forum: community engagement.

Works for both views. ;)
