Re: [ANNOUNCE] www2sms - Send SMS via your providers website

www2sms-1.3.0 is in work.

I added an online update option for the the www2sms_providers module.

In this way it is possible to react faster to changes on the websites and the application does not have to go through the entire validation test and if it finally reaches EXTRAS then it is outdated because of changes on the provider websites.

New core releases will be made less often (only when there are changes to the GUI, or a provider was added which requires an advanced configuration UI and of course when some nasty bugs occure)

To test it download it from here:
http://olausson.de/downloads/view.download/4/4
NOTE: When restarting automatically, www2sms will start the default installed version in /opt/www2sms/ so you have to manually restart www2sms from the commandline

The latest www2sms_providers.py can be found here:
http://olausson.de/downloads/view.download/2/2

I am currently trying to sign the file and verify it before using it in www2sms. Any ideas?

Re: [ANNOUNCE] www2sms - Send SMS via your providers website

Sweet!

I updated 1.3.0 on my website.
http://olausson.de/downloads/view.download/4/4

It now uses gpg to validate the download so the risk of downloading a compromised file is rather low (I am no expert but I would trust my implementation) :-)

If we have a gpg expert or some experienced user here, don't hesitate to check my implementation.

Re: [ANNOUNCE] www2sms - Send SMS via your providers website

www2sms-1.3.0

First of all I fixed bug #11595 (O2 website redirect prevents sending a SMS)

Second I added an update mechanism for the providers module.

Future changes to the providers module will not require a new www2sms core release.

Changes to the provider module can be found here:
http://olausson.de/downloads/viewcategory/2

Version 1.3.0 should be in DEVEL by now.

Hu, it works for me using Opera 11.00_pre1094 on Linux and as you can see I can send you a SMS via www2sms on my phone. You should have received a SMS by now.

I can access http://m.160by2.com via MicroB and OperaMobile on my phone.
