As for me, it's just pretty good timeline. I'd vote for it :)

Wow, and this "device split" is incredible! I really can't believe it. Just another one reason to make something really interesting.

Honestly, I'm quite disappointed, due to dropping MP category - after all, it wasn't just hard to implement, as upcoming Community OBS was a reference (so, multiplatform between Maemo, Mer, and Harmattan only - problem of androids and symbians solved). After all, whole idea was to promote good coding practice, that could benefit soon, when we'll have comfortable tools for multi-platform compiling (if base program is properly prepared).

Well, You can't have everything ;) So, of course, still keeping my thumbs for participating coders.

3 months is long enough (maybe too long, but this is a summer period, so it should be fine), I would include also the voting week(s) in this 3 months.

3 months seems good, I would say.

3 months including voting period sounds reasonable.

As you may have noticed, I've been making threads and tweeting here, there, and everywhere this morning to get out competition known out there :D So apologies for all the spam you may have seen :p

Here's some of the places and people I've reached out to this morning:

I know there are other blogs and things, but at 2.43am my mind doesn't work so good... "brain no work? no compute!"

I've updated flowplayer just today.
The current version has bigger updates compared to the last year.
It's almost a differen app.
I wonder if I can use it for the competition.
I know it wins a n900 last year, but don't forget I've donated that phone cause I didn't have the money to cover the shipment.

When reading the competition wiki pages / rules, there is no mentioning of app needing to be open source, so does that mean that closed source entries are allowed too?
