I'm not the one pointing fingers. You are giving example of companies who failed too, and it's not relevant to case at all or do you want examples of companies releasing on time or even earlier and it would help you?
They promised to deliver phone to pre-order backers first and before Christmas , btw they even promised limited edition phone, which later was changed to limited TOH, which first was limited colour to first ones, which at some point was released for everyone. If they promised all this and only one of things was actually true(year) it's not the same. BTW a lot people got phone after Christmas, which was already 2014.

I pre-order phone and I knew that the story wil repeat itself if someone do not want to learn on own mistake. But again, it's totally not related, you see, if they did something wrong, it would doesn't matter if I pre-order or not, it's about them being right or wrong. But if you think that coz i'm not the backer I can't point out the facts(you can argue as much as you want, but no proper dates or info are given and it's fact, noone know when and what to expect is fact too).
Anyway, if you want to have a dialog and not just throw stuff at me, you should read what I write, you do not have to agree, though somethings are just facts, others are my opinion, but try to answer and have a dialog and not just blaming and throwing irrelevant statements.

The simple thing to do is to go to kickstarter or indiegogo and see the campaigns that delayed and did not update customers on what happened and why and when and see how it ends in most cases. Maybe some have sentimental feelings for Jolla and what them to succeed, but it's not a reason to close your eyes on every fail and hiccup, but actually to point it out and to do something about it. The best friend will always tell you the truth to the face to make you better and not will accept everything you do.

You got your quote tags mixed up, so without quoting, it is you who is wishing not-well for jolla, so trying to rile up people about dates (plenty of actual backers voiced their opinion here they prefer later date but better product) is just your tactic. Then pretend maemo guys are angry about dates, when it is only you and a non-backer at that. People who care about getting a good product are already used to waiting more or less impatiently, you coming up with accusations all the time shows you're fanboi of something else (I hope you're not just fueled by jolla hate, that would be sad) coming here to fan the flames. Get over it

Maybe true or maybe not. You can't judge the average feeling from few posts, including mine btw, you'll have to ask most people. And again, if I didn't pre-order, doesn't make my saying wrong just coz of that. It's like saying that I can't say that it's wrong how US act towards Snowden, just coz i'm not US citizen. I still can have opinion and my opinion can be the right one, despite my citizenship, race, colour or if I pre-order product or not. I can say that iPhone crash coz of Arabic text is fail even if I don't have or use iPhone.

And just to clarify, delay is not a problem and they can take time, the problem that they did not provide you any info leaving you hanging in the air(again) and even posted PR post promising new specs and saying the screen is better, though I have a strong feeling the whole delay is coz of screen and they did not have new one when they posted that post.

As far as I am concerned, after the display update, they can delay it some more and update the sound DAC chip and loudspeaker.

It's been so silent about this, and I fear that sound quality is the least concern of modern cheap tablet makers and their target customers.

I find waiting for the release much easier than keeping up several years after the wait with the miserable sound quality like my Jolla mini tablet * does provide actually.


(* that's what my mother called it after noticing my Jolla instead of my usual N900 or 808)

Yes, I wouldn't mind a 1 year delay while they are adding 4G, real multi screen and a Netflix client. Or just cancel it all, payback and then start working on a phone instead. Either way...I'm happy with everything. Just give me that screen blog post yesterday!

Now I'm :mad: jolla. Please don't post bananasnans on your blog until you manage to provide some real value information that was was promised soooooon....but never showed. Like info about the screen and device itself. No more ambiance, wood, cases, hack a snack, or updates. Cancel everything related to that!
