Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
My N9 (Singapore version preordered) has been solid at:
1300mHz+1.275v and smart reflex on Uptime of 5 days with GPS usage, games, you name it. AWESOME! Looking at Battery Graph is seems battery usage has IMPROVED over stock. Admittedly I was worried about usage so i was probably monitoring usage closer than normal. Battery Usage app indicated idle usage of 28mA with no chat active. Active consumption did seem high at over 300mA. I get an almost instant reboot at 1.25v. I am thinking about trying 1400 mHz now. |

As for 1400 MHz I went as high as 1362500 but device reboots a few mins after testing. Oh well. |

after reading your post sixracer, i gave it a try. it's 3h now, no problem at all and, imho, much more snappier than at 1200. austrian 64Gb model. cheers, no_nuke |

I have noticed this with other combinations too, that the integrated test tool is apparently not pushing the system to its absolute limits, because Maps usage can easily reboot a passed overclocked configuration. Quote:

- whenever I open the ui 1.2.5...asks for internet connection .. Why?? - i have greater stability using terminal (using ui 1.2.5 - n9 is most unstable) |

let me know if the update checking is a problem. i assume everyone with n9 has data :)

i dont like check for update option, just my opinion, thx btw, :)

well i think that's a strange opinion, you should explain why you don't like it if you want me to improve it.

Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
I could make it a choice to disable the update check but I don't want anyone to be using an old version. Is there an option on the n9 to disable ovi store apps from checking for updates?

Because automatically update seems 'damgerous' , just my opinion, yes i suggest to give it an option to choose manually or automatically update, will be so nice, :)

Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
What's dangerous? Go look at the source code, don't ever tell me something is dangerous if you haven't even looked at how it works. It goes to this thread, reads the title, and compares it to itself. If it doesn't match, it asks if you want to go here to download it. It doesn't magically update itself. Why would you even think...

If it doesn't auto update then theres no reason to have an option to disable the update checking, its a USEFUL feature. Sorry, I saw people say auto-update and assumed it updated without giving users a choice. My bad :p |
Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
Yeah it just gives you a yes/no to open this web page, it isn't even going to start downloading anything by itself. It only even tries to go online if you're connected to your home network (not roaming) or wifi so I didn't think you should even get a connection prompt. I might need to test that now...

maybe mine is not very overclockable hahaha
I'll try 1.3ghz or 1.25 tks for sharing ! |
Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
yes, to be safety, try 1195mhz @1212500, its fast enough, or 1100mhz with stock voltage, :)
|
Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
ya it works
maybe I'll try 1.35Ghz after pr1.3 |
Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
Running 1,375ghz at 13750000.
Seems working like a charm. Would love to see some good performance test or find some soft to do it. ATM with this ww.webkit.org/perf/sunspider-0.9.1/sunspider-0.9.1/results.html increased around 40% |
Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
Running at 1100Mhz with stock voltage
FasterN9(0.94) 3G activated throughout the day Battery Life:Great ! :) |
Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
alive on frequencies up to 1350MHz but slow as hell
best performance on 950 - 1110 MHz looking nice and working good :D thanx creamy ;) :D |
