New version of SMSCON v0.4.4-5 also coming up

FIX:
- minor bug fixes/improvements.
- COM_CALL command fails if used.
- In test modes current active network will be restored after GPRS connection usage.
- improved smtp server connection handeling. Will handle errors beter.
- removed "Internet connection" setting to default "GPRS".

NEW:
- COM_CHECK command will return a SMS with all available SMS commands (usefull if forgotten the SMS commands).
- SSH connection is adapted for authenticated keys usage. (have to manually install keys) * not tested yet*
- Email sending can now use secure authentication (STARTTLS) if requested by mail server (tested with Google Gmail).

I can confirm it works with gmail.

using port: 587
username: user@gmail.com (as opposed to just "user")

Can anyone help me please? As soon as I launch Smscon-Editor, I get the "SMSCON settings successfully loaded" Notification bar. Then the program closes.

Hmm. that happened with me cause I had a really old version of smscon 3.somthing with old config file.

In terminal,

I think one very important feature is to allow (*) as part of the commands.

for example - i use ICQ to send the sms message "Camera" but it doesn't work - probably because ICQ appends text after the "Camera" word - "Reply to ICQ now" - i tried to add this to the command but it didn't work.

if i could set the command to something like "Camera*" (meaning only search for a string that start with "Camera" it would be great - i don't have a second phone to send from so ICQ is great for this.

The front cam always appear completely black. Any suggestions on how to improve the quality?

Within few minutes of installing from extras-devel, I was prompted to update to 4.5. Email works now!
