Those already in PR1.3 they'll notice with the update in QT there is no need to press fn to enter the numbers anymore.

I was trying to have this behaviour and I was wondering why it is not working. No I know!! :)

Let me know if you see anything else new.

Thanks Ernesto. So you have not checked whether Nokia made any changes to the relevant parameters? They did advertise "performance improvements", after all.

The default values for all options touched by swappolube have remained as before.

Re: [announce] swappolube to lubricate your gui

In these days I am using pr1.3 without swappolube. I need getting accustomed again to the behaviour of the stock gui. Then, after some days, I'll install swappolube again to see whether it's working significantly for the new version of maemo5 or not. To me, lacking an objective benchmark, it's the only way to go.
I must say, however, that the gui on vanilla pr1.3 is already "lubed" enough for my taste. I am also running the hack described here: http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=859494&postcount=4 and gui transitions are much sexier :)

Re: [announce] swappolube to lubricate your gui

I've never used the swappolube application, until yesterday, an I must say that it definitely makes a difference in PR1.3.

My battery life now goes down exactly 1% every 7 hrs on standby.

Thats with 2g on and no online apps (pidgin) running. Though I must admit, I did some additional hacking to achieve this.

Before it went down 4% every 4hrs (standby) with out swappolube.

There are multiple threads with people having problems with qt4 libraries at the moment.

Could you please mention:
- if you have PR1.3 (OTA or flash) and if you had problems during installation
- which repos you have enabled

I have the same problem.

I have PR1.3 vanilla with NOTHING installed.

I then enabled extras and extras testing repositories in app manager.

Then I tried installing swappolube.

I get this error.

I also did apt-get install on python2.5 and also python2.5-qt4-common. This installed more files but I still get the error.

Whats going on ?
