Re: Whatsup - Harmattan client
If it is okay to request a feature - could it be possible somehow integrate the application to open youtube links in Cutetube instead of web browser?

I'm using cutetube, so I'll add this. Please make an issue just in case I forgot this |
Re: Whatsup - Harmattan client
Cepi, I'm not sure that this is an issue really, but still want to let you know: if I delete the received media (I tried only for voice recordings), it cannot be downloaded again (app just shows an error "File not found" when I tap it in the conversation. Is the behavior supposed to be like that? Does WhatsUp save the media on its servers for any time or it's just like client-to-client transmission?

Re: Whatsup - Harmattan client
Thats not a bug its a feature ;)
Whatsup is something like SMS. You dont have something like a mailserver. You downloaded the message so you recieved it. If you delete it, the information is gone with the wind ;) Not a problem with Whatsup i think, for less is not fault from Cepi-version |
Re: Whatsup - Harmattan client
whatsapp storing media on server for a month or so. you uploading your image/video/audio to whatsapp server and recipient downloading it from server. implementing "download again" is trivial.

Hello,
I am not sure whether this is a bug, but all versions of whatsup I used stop connecting if public wi-fi connect to internet via web page. It seems like whatsup tries to connect while only connection page is available and fails. After this it refuse further connection attempts even manual. Only exit and app restart helps. |
Re: Whatsup - Harmattan client
@chilango, @coderus:
https://www.whatsapp.com/faq/en/general/28030002 Yes, whatsapp saves media in server for some time, but it's your fault if you remove the file. Implementing download again can save you sometimes, but it's not trivial since official clients doesn't have this. |
Re: Whatsup - Harmattan client
it's very trivial. media link is valid for a month or so. you can even open it in browser and get your media.
