Seriously guys... forget about all the security and encryption stuff...

Why can't be just be happy that a company actually choose Sailfish OS instead of Android?

The way I see it is, a company making one dubious claim is quite likely making more than just the one.

Probably the most pertinent observation in this whole thread.

Needed some more time than y'all but i swapped to "do not buy into turing" camp finally.

What tipped me over is the continued official silence from reliable sources.
Jolla seems to be very cautious regarding tri themselfes or else we would have heard a word from them. correct.
I was wrong (editing disclaimers to my euphemistic posts).
This looks like damage reduction from Jollas side even to me now and i wish them luck they will be able to pull out a big rabbit from the hat at mwc to hide this possible dilemma ->
"Looking for partners desperately and one to turn up is a possible scammer on deeper inspection".

Turning on optimism again, @JollaUsers revived from the dead.
Sepher Noori will be at MWC teasing there will be something fresh?
Should we have a dedicated "Sailfish at MWC2016" thread or where to collect the news?
Edit, cool. Dave already did while typing this :D

Actually Jolla did confirm there is some kind of agreement at the last IRC meeting, but they do seem to be cautious about it.

News from finnish national broadcast, YLE. It's basically telling that there are rumours from ex-nokia sources that old Nokia facilities in Salo will be fired up soon by unknown asian manufacturer. News about this are coming within two weeks.

Yle is a reputable and usually very reliable news source, so it's funny that they are publishing rumours, so it's very likely that there's something to these rumours. LG, Samsung and Huawei havr been already doing some research in Finland so those would be the likely suspects, but who knows.

No, so far its a scam. They changed OS pretty much on delivery date. Im not sure what happend with the previous preorders IF they where cancelled or not. So I would suggest wait for more solid sources before backning this One.
