hehehehe thanx Creamy, well, seems like i had account since oct. 2011 :D but didn't knew :P
btw, i have suggestion about voltage, why don't you add "calculator" code and make it as "suggested" voltage? ;) nice to see ya btw :D |
Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
Yeah, but how to calculate is the problem. I think the only way is to have the app submit usage data and build up a huge database on my server, then analyze it. Maybe I will do that but it's quite a bit of work.

seems to me like it's proper as:
1100:1300000 1200:1400000 1000:1200000 logical conclusion is: voltage = (int(freq) * 1000)+ 200000 btw, instead to mail you, i'll attach however, 1100 and 1110 are very stable and since this error appeared...it's glitchy...:D |
Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
That's really weird, someone reported a similar issue but i thought the kernel module had corrupted something in the kernel memory. It's a good clue if Conky shows a wrong value but opptimizer ui is okay.
I am not sure about the voltage/frequency stuff, i don't want to suggest anything without a huge amount of data to help. |
Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
How come the N900's processor can be overclocked at such a high percentage increase of the base frequency? Yet the N9 can't even be OC'd by +40%?

Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
well, as i saw, seems like conky was right and OptUI was wrong
(back was bit hotter and it was glitching - that's not happening on 1100 and not even on 1190 to me) but since i wasn't able to measure clocks with anything else, i can't be sure. what else i tested is that shhd response fine and seems to me all native modules, while QT based parts are making issues, and, i remember QT on symbian, it was making similar problems (without even overclocking it used to reboot and glitch and stuck phones) |
Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
and what do you think, what is the best setting for someone who has 3G, and often uses Skype chat + Wazapp as long as possible to the battery does not need charging?
another question: how do I get the stick kernel if I want to undo everything? |
Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
i think that we need modification of power on kernel level.
but, i found issues to wake up device, so i think we need to find way to adjust lower clock speed too |
Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
i think this "new" method is RISKY my phone WAS ABLE TO RUN @1300 WITH OUT ANY reboots, then i installed this new tweak and now it reboots at only 1200 ¬¬ do i need to change VOLTAGE???
|
Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
can you add creamy adds like profiles charge any and we set mhz and voltage temperture above temperture down and we set voltage and mhz battery uper than battery down but the software must found in wich condition is the phone to change the profiles screen off apps to run with select profile

Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
Hi!
I had to reflash my phone and now it seems I can't instal kernel modules. I says: Can't install instalation package not found |
Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
1) wget (paste link)
2) /usr/sbin/incept Incept the kernel first then the UI |

Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
1.2Ghz @ 1300000 voltage stable for me - anything lower and it restarts every so often. 1.3 Ghz possible but would need to whack the voltage up quite high so being conservative for now.

Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
So, that PR1.3 is partially released already. How soon do you guys know if we can update it straight or we have to unistall this opptimizer and wait for it to work with PR1.3?
|
Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
Any update coming for KO ?

That was expected, but thanks for the confirmation.

fastern9 confirmed works unistall it and install it again after pr 1.3 and all good onley inception does not work again

i've got the same problem. I cant remove icon optimizer or even app in settings...

Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
Well, don't install it on PR 1.3 until I've updated it!
Anyways, restart your phone and apt-get remove it. If that doesn't work, write the error otherwise I don't know what to tell you. |
Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
My phone is finally getting the update so I can look at this in the next day or two.

I'm looking forward to trying the PR 1.3 update, if any. Keep up the good work Creamy Goodness. :)

Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.3] [ui v1.2.5]
Tested and working with old kernel modules, so I can release a pr1.3 version without the kernel sources or recompile. Today!
