And I was referring to ... if you need the background images to be in .png format to be changed with the Ambiance settings, because I see only the pngs and none of my images (in jpeg format).

And the Icon for WiFi Hotspot seems ... spot on! =P

You can apply JPG or PNG files if they have 480x854 resolution (settings-applet has filter :D), so if your image isn't 480x854 you can't choose it. Crop image you want via Gallery to 480x854 px and you will see :)

One comment about the toggle buttons you show above, they typically should turn red in the Off position. For some reason the current one (for Jolla icons On/Off) and the ones you show in the above image, always stay white no matter if On or Off...

Re: [Announce][WIP] SailfishOS Theme for Harmattan

Probably I will rewrite applet without switchers. Above picture is testing stage :)

I think the buttons below are sexy, BUT when the screen is full they overlap with the context menu.... your decision. Any way it looks cool.

In the settings app, when scrolling down, the back button is covered by the entries in the list. Can you fix th is?

It's not covered, it still shows. The items in the menu list go OVER the button itself, so it makes tapping the back button impossible. (If you scroll to the middle of a list, the text options go over the button and prevent you from hitting it.)

Look at the back button on the top left.
The text of the settings page will go over the back button

(for example in the screenshot: you can see that it's on the letter 'M' of Ambiance Settings)

Hmm, I don't think that it is so critical. Certailny I can move it to the bottom and make background image (like in Ambiance Settings), but I still don't see reasons to do this :)

I didn't said it's critical :p I just posted a screenshot like you've asked so you could understand Shadwblade2652 what he meant with his problem :D

I don't think it's critical either, but as you asked for suggestions...
I just switched to blanco in order to check, and there, the part of the screen with the back and other buttons is static.
This means that when list is scrolled down/up the items in the list don't overlay those buttons but they go "under the buttons".
I think it's a nice approach and if easy to implement looks the best for me :)

Ok, I will make option to restore "old"-alarm. New-alarm is still in alpha-version, but it works fine on my phone.

Please, check one thing - will alarm-ui rotate if you don't have background app? Turn on new alarm, run grob (for example) and don't hide it, just lock your phone and wait for alarm...

If alarm will come in landscape - try to rotate it to portrait.

Ancelad 2014-05-07 09:40

Re: [Announce][WIP] SailfishOS Theme for Harmattan

AFAIK MWidgetStyle doesn't support landscape and portrait orientation separately, it use one common style.

It rotates indeed because of a background app (in this case it was Opera)... but not when there is no rotated background app

That's thing I wanted to know :) Thanks.

I am also having problems with the new alarm UI being unresponsive - sometimes I have to tap snooze more than 10 times before it does anything and before I feel the haptic feedback. (The cancel button seems a bit more reactive than snooze, it usually works on the second tap.)

Re: [Announce][WIP] SailfishOS Theme for Harmattan

Ancelad, not to be pushy, but when do you think the next version will be available?
Noticed that the image in post #939 does not contain non-jolla icons option.
Hoping that was just an example and the non-jolla option and hotspot icon return...:D

THANK YOU for your remarkable work!

Ancelad 2014-05-07 12:33

Re: [Announce][WIP] SailfishOS Theme for Harmattan

You can't see Jolla-icons because settings applet is scrolled down a bit :) New version will come tomorrow (I hope)

Re: [Announce][WIP] SailfishOS Theme for Harmattan

Alarm is fixed - buttons are more responsible now (with enlarged reactive zones), also I've made landscape orientation :D

@Ancelad
I've been following this thread for ages, and seeing progress that you've been making over time, so I finally convinced myself to instal it for myself. All I can say is WOW! Your work is amazing and I'm so impressed that you've made my N9 new again (well new looking)... Thank you very much

Hi, I have your repo, I upgraded theme as usual (like the v0.9.1 from 0.9) but this time this is the result (attached images), and the phone seems to be crazy because if I enter in the LPS mode (clicking the power button or alone after timeout) on the upper side there are clock, data and red square like statusbar in the homescreen (??) and then after a while, without anyone touching it, it exited blinking from the LPS mode, alone!!
When I tried to return to blanco theme, the surprise was that isn't a sailfish icon to select, but only blanco and magenta, and the first one are a red square; the strange things was that after I installed sailfish theme from system updates, I decided to reinstall it from terminal, and there I realized that there was so many error like 'can't stat bla bla bla from sailfish theme folder/file...' that, as I wrote above, didn't exist.
Now, I don't remember how many subfolders there were within blanco path, but in attached image there is my actual situation after I upgraded sailfish theme.

Yes it's strange this time :D, because last time I upgraded your theme (v0.9.1) all went very well.

fos4 2014-05-08 13:18

I had this issue too. After reinstall theme, all works fine.
