My battery had a similar problem. And it isn't merely low capacity, It was causing a reset when it was charging (and nearly full). Sometimes it would discharge rapidly or the time/capacity left would be way off and intermittent - sometimes it would go on and work fine, sometimes I'd hear the low battery beep in the evening.

Swapping batteries helped greatly.

I *was* having that problem prior to swapping out batteries

@2hours of watching cnn via worldtv99 via wifi I have 18.5% of battery left

we know that wifi burns battery so i do not find it unreasonable for only 2 hours of watching tv via wifi i will load an avi tomorrow and repeat w/o wifi on

Correct, my 4+ hour mplayer playback time is with flight mode enabled. Also, when copying, try to use a protocol that is less taxing on the CPU (for example, copying via FTP is lot cheaper battery-wise than doing it via SCP or SFTP, even though the speed of the copy is roughly the same).

running both maemo default and AB, default see battery as low when AB see it as 0.3% and <1 min left.

and AB suddenly started reporting that when the last time i looked it was showing some 40% left on the battery.

seems it was able to keep goingg some 15 min web browsing after it reported the above. tho, thats on my crappy home wifi, where i need to use moderate power save for it to work...

I am wondering if I have a battery problem or if this is normal. I charge my n800 until it's fully charged, and it says 7 hours of use. I then use my tablet for about 1:45 hours and it starts giving me low battery warnings. What I was using it for during that time was some web browsing, playing a game, and chatting. After about 30 more minutes the low battery warnings become quite frequent. I have never waited for the battery to go dead before. My n800 was used altough in perfect condition so I'm not sure how much the previous owner used it. Is the battery just getting old, or is a little over 2 hours all I can expect from it? Or maybe it will go longer and I should just ignore the warnings? Also one other thing. I might buy off ebay a usb charger for my internet tablet that plugs into the charger port on the n800. Does anyone have one of these and do they work? THanks

This is almost 33% less, albeit it may be different A/V setting! And it is on your NEW battery, very disturbing

If it is not mentioned, that means it is OFF, e.g. V+BT means only video and BlueTooth is on, all else are OFF, ie. audio/wifi are off.

I am thinking to repeat all these on the Diablo, in particular to the new A/V use.

I have been having battery problems for the last couple of months. What I have found is battery will drop suddenly from 52%-53% to 0.3% and I get a low battery warning. I have continued using N800 to see how long does it really last and found that I could use it for another couple of hours before battery really goes dead and N800 shuts off. In those two hours battery level can jump back up after few hours of non-use.

Someone else had similar problem and solved it by replacing the battery. My battery is almost two years old. So it could be just the battery needs replacement.
