Did it error out? Were you root? Does it work from the terminal?

I know the app is effectively a cron interface, but I was wondering if it was possible to get it to run scripts on particular system events (for example phone lock). I think it would be useful for the device to be able to switch to 2G only if the phone has been locked for a minute and then switch to dual when you unlock the phone. I know AutoDisconnect has ways of switching between 2G, 3G and dual but it switches when the phone is about to making a connection when it may already have been unlocked for 5 minutes, meaning it takes a long time to switch to dual and then connect.

Sorry that was a bit convoluted - in short, would it be possible to get Alarmed to tell the system to perform tasks on certain events? If not, do you know how I could get my phone listening for such events manually?

I have been looking around but not found a script that handles total offline/powersave mode. I.e. just let's the gsm to be on. Such a script would be great for alarmed.

I am not sure but think unloading kernel modules might be the best way? So software can't enable it.

* Switch of internet
* Switch of bluetooth
* Switch to only GSM mode
* Set the screen light to minimum

And a script to enable normal again.

Does somebody have a script like this?

Actually, there is a QueenBeeCon widget that does something awfully similar to this.

I know.. but i ask here cause i don't like it to be a widget. A script would be better. I want it to be a night and day script.

What about using the contents of the widget as a guideline to create a script?

I would if i knew how. I am too inexperienced to do a whole script by my self.

There already is a seperate application that does exactly this, although I never tried it. It's called ActionManager
