Very soon I will made MicroB working on 770 distribution... (small part already available on gregale-extras microb-engine,microb-refui, libgtkmozembed)....

Also later I will try to organize place about tweaking MicroB ;).
Ex: How to enable back gmail chats e.t.c ...

Are you referring to OS2006 or OS2007HE for the 770?

Bill

How do I update?

My package manager doesn't show any new packages to install. And all these posts and lists of fixes and whatnot don't do anything so simple and straightforward as *link to the damn thing* muttermuttermutter.

I tried going to the site and tapping the install link, and it told me it was already installed.

Press it twice.

I know that problem, now it just does not work at all. A temp fix is to hit the center button and it brings up the thumb pad.

I guess you are talking about the news item in:

http://browser.garage.maemo.org/news/

?

I just tried the install on my new N770 and got the following error:

Unable to install microb-browser
Packages missing:
libxt6 | xlibs > 4.1.0

Any advice on fixing this?

Maybe I don't have the second update, but the Nokia site tells me that I have the latest version: "OS 2006 edition v. 3.2006.49-2"

TIA Don.

I found the answer to this in the third posting in this thread - which would be a much more appropriate place to discuss microb on the 770:

Re: Mozilla-based Browser for the Nokia N800

I'm still sticking to Opera, even after the latest MicroB updates. The reason is that in Opera I can use the pager (aka the D-pad) to page up and down, in MicroB I must use the scrollbar. That is simply too painful. In opera I could just set Down/Up to Page Down/Page up in .opera/input.ini, until there's an equally simple configuration (or default) for MicroB I don't want to switch.

Is holding the pad for a second longer really that hard?
