covering personal launcher with yellownotes could do that?

Re: Show off your screenshots

there was a issue a while back where personal menu triggered a memory leak when it ended up drawing outside of the screen area....

in any case, i should maybe have added a smiley, as it was somewhat a joke...

Re: Show off your screenshots

oh... you mean as if part of it were beyond the borders of the screen? yeah that happened once and crashed my desktop until I adjusted my layout so that everything was within the screen borders.

E17 in Ubuntu
If a picture's worth a thousand words...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6aVu_mnz34

I realize it is a little hard to understand what is going on. But, I was afraid to make the video too long due to limit system resources with the N810.

BTW: does anyone know how to embed video?

Man, I wish I could figure out how to get diablo working under virtualbox. That'd be an awesome way to test stuff without worrying about hosing my regular tablet.

My God, I didn't realize E17 was so awesomely flexible. Illume looks great there.
If I had a second tablet or another memory card to avoid having to lose everything on there now, I would try that in seconds :/

That actually looks pretty , pretty pretty good :).
Have you tried Easy Debian Turbo Charged? Does Ubuntu work better than Easy Debian?

meizirkki 2009-03-08 07:17

Re: Show off your screenshots

First, i have no idea what i am talking about. ;) But i think, normally, when Easy Debian uses the image file, it would not be faster, even if it uses the "turbo mount".

I'll be creating an installer as soon as i finish getting sys-env-e17, sys-env-gnome, sys-env-kubuntu, sys-env-lxdubuntu and sys-env-xfubuntu established in the ubuntu-n8x0 repository (wich should be finished sometime this week) - i've been busy with highschool-related stuff (i'm involved with track - and the season starts tomorrow) pluse i have tests for both this week and next week. :(

I'll try to get as much done this week as i can ;)

Is that normal OS2008? How do you make wallpaper to cover leftside panel how did you change icons & menu appearance? Looks nice :D

Laughing Man 2009-05-14 17:01

Re: Show off your screenshots

Yeah that's normal OS2008. Wallpaper has always been able to cover the left and top panels (just need a big enough wallpaper). As for the icons that's customized icons (replace the default icons). For menu that's personal menu (installed from extras).

jmjanzen 2009-05-14 17:42

Re: Show off your screenshots

actually... with the default theme, wallpaper is shaded darker on the left and top edges. i think that's what amoult was talking about. themes like nuvoclear remove this shading.

No sound, slow loading upon startup, and requires you to install the 21(!)MB perl-modules but, once started, it plays fine & the data files are installed to the memory card :p

But, I am running it with 512mb swap, I haven't tried 128MB yet...

Hi, once installed, they should be available in notes, for example, or the terminal. If you want to use them with your theme, then edit /usr/share/themes/<theme>/gtk-2.0/gtkrc and search for "Nokia Sans" and replace with "Droid Sans".

Re: Show off your screenshots

Can anyone tell me why my browser isn't displaying the images in this thread? Where the image should be is just a blank white space. Above the white space is a small box with a "Notice" icon (yellow triangle with a "!"), followed by the text "Click this bar to view the full image." When I click the bar, it opens another browser window but nothing is displayed.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

EDIT: I'm refering to the default browser (microB?) on my n810, running Diablo.

Wow. Hey, do you have to have ubuntu installed, or is there a way to run freedos simply inside Mer, inside Maemo.

I'm for lack of a better term, DUMB when it comes to the intricacies (sp?) of *nix, but i think running a dos emu would be the sh*t.
