Does any one know new games or has heard of any future releases for WebOS?

I think showing "EVERYONE" a video showing myself chopping my hand on youtube is a bit violence-containing issue. BTW I know that guy that took the games from his bro :p, but I said "EVERYONE," smart ehh :p?
Here's the youtube link:

p.s. Please, do not force your brain to thinking that this is me cutting the hand :p

Could you post the solution?

Re: Preenv webOS games compatibility list

If you want to play, you can:
Code:

wget http://members.cox.net/jflatt/libsdlpre.so
and replace your
Code:

/home/opt/preenv/lib/libsdlpre.so
to get back you can do
Code:

apt-get install --reinstall preenv
I'll submit the tiny patch to javispedro once I get the mouse fixed. If you want what I have done so far, just PM me or something. Also I'm curious to see if this fixes any other games with bad scaling.

Where is WEBos?? Are you joking?? lool! preenv is not an application, but a set of libraries to make webOS games work on the N900. So don't be alarmed if you don't see any icon. Just google for some webOS games, or buy them (just like Javispedro :p )

Re: Preenv webOS games compatibility list

Great news guys! Seems like assassin's creed is fully playable on n900 even without multitouch. Just a bit of timing on the touchscreen and look. I have managed to jump above without multitouch and I am already now on level 2.

Edit:
Wrong screenshot will upload again later :(

Yeah that's the ideal way to avoid messing with files and Xterminal!!

Okay, I got Angry Birds Seasons working perfectly, probably Angry Birds (original) also, and possibly others. I just tried FIFA, and it's still bad, but I know what the issue is. Going to try to fix some more while I'm in here

Guitar Hero 5 playable now

Re: Preenv webOS games compatibility list

Skater Nation (is Skater the same game?). Looks like it scales fine, seems like it should have already. Probably needs a powervr.d/Skater.ini file, but I couldn't get one to do anything.

Sudoku needs libPmIpcLib.so, which you can get from http://palm.cdnetworks.net/opensourc...clib-1.0.0.tgz
but then it nees libNPAPIInterface.so, which I haven't tracked down yet

Can you tell me if you got Fifa working (screenshot)? If so, would you like the share how you did it? Downloaded also several versions, but can't get them to work.

Seems like it runs from the icon, not from xterm, but I haven't got scaling corrected on it yet

I hope you're not asking about the games themselves, these are just hacks on preenv. I'm still messing with it, but if you want to check it out, you can follow the steps in http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...&postcount=973
Or wait for a new preenv from javispedro

Re: Preenv webOS games compatibility list

@acidspunk you do know that fifa needs multitouch right ? its almost unplayable without multitouch, unless someone can creat a patch to pass/shoot with the hardware keyboard.

jflatt 2011-01-04 17:14

Re: Preenv webOS games compatibility list

FIFA doesn't work yet. I didn't realize this game would be the popular one (American here). Basically it rotates as it should now, but it gets a width of 800 and decides to scale its own height to 1200. Just have to fake it out, I'll get to it later

elie-7 2011-01-04 17:20

Re: Preenv webOS games compatibility list

fifa is one of the most popular games in the world, hell i think its way more popular than COD or hallo !!

Euh...I'm not very familiar with technical expressions, but who can easily explain to me why it isn't possible to map keyboard to preenv???

EDIT: eheheh...999th message posted! :rolleyes::p

I was talking about Raging Thunder 2. I'm not into sports games, but I bet a lot of people would be happy about being able to play FIFA. Hopefully someone can work out a way to do fake multitouch somehow.

Re: Preenv webOS games compatibility list

fifa 10 is working on nitroid on n900 but is too hard to play as you need multitouch!

it does have accelerometer support for players running etc but still very hard to work :(

imo preenv would need keyboard support for football games

not full keyboard support, just the past/shoot buttons (they turninto slide/switch player in deffence), moving the player with the arrows on our keybiard is harder than not having multitouch .

no no debs are made to make the way to play them easy. I mean debs can make the shotcuts options and the folders script to make the games working good :) like that u dont have to write all the patch...
