nice to know its an early version:cool:

Yup, the bug is still there. Have to remove the widget and re-add them. However, previous PR1.1.1, sometimes or most of the times, when I re-add the Media Player widget, all other downloaded widgets gets remove, and I have to re-add them back again.

Not sure this bug still in this unofficial release.

dont call me an idiot. i made the mistake of flashing and now im warning people of the risks of updating and the problems you will get.

When you choose to flash, you should know the risk and be prepared for it. It is whether you're willing to take the risk. If you have considered the risk and taking the chances, I don't think you're considered an idiot, unless you do it straight away without any thinking.

It could be fake firmware, it could be a virus file, even before you choose to download it, you should consider and think about the risk. It's not just about flashing alone.

Similarly, for devel and testing apps, overclocking, etc. These are all "risk" to take by anyone who chose to do so. The difference is whether the person have put some thoughts about it and wiling the take the risk and accept the flaws, problems, etc.

All the issues you have mentioned in the first post, I've had similar or worse with PR 1.0, 1.1 and 1.1.1. So why is it more unstable? I've gone mine on the LPR1.2 and it's more stable so far with less bugs than PR1.1.1 that I last had on. I doubt official PR1.2 will be light years ahead more stable either.

This LPR1.2 fixed stuff I really wanted fixed. Quite happy actually.

If someone has an answer they should give it without wanting something in return as this is indeed supposed to be a fair and helpful community.
I dont condone what goes on here on this forum as it drastically lacks better moderation techniques as a whole.

Good one.. Ive noticed that also..

in some people eyes messing around with their gadgets is obvously not a good idear but to other people its alot of fun

however is there really a need to slag people off because they like to mess around with there gadgets?? i dont really think there is and that people throwing out insults are probably worse then the harmless n900 user that wanted to mess with his gadget

i appreciate the warnings and appreciate it probably wasnt legal and shouldnt have been disclosed on this website etc but calling other users names and labbelling them desperate is taking things a bit to far specially when they have just posted about a problem to warn other users

I very much like this response as its fair comment all round, NOBODY should start name calling over anything as it is not the way you would talk to someone you love for example, indeed there is a sense of fun in playing as the andventurous spirit exists in all of us.
If i do something to play about and it goes wrong then so be it i learn from that point on and it is actually more fun and experiance learning how to put something right you put wrong, after all as we say "nothing ventured nothing gained".
As a whole Nokia are somewhat slow on the N900 being a new concept and all and for some (me included) some very important issues needed to be implemented on the N900 such as ussd and navigation, these have in fact been implemented on the firmware upgrade that was used in this case.
It is all to easy to jump down on somebody under these kind of circumstances with childish remarks and insults and is never going to stop untill the right kind of moderation is applied on this very forum.

The issues above I agree did happen in pr1.1.1 but all those issues I had in the leaked firmware happened in a VERY short period of time.

Please let us know your experiances when trying to go back to 1.1 as it may be a little tricky so will be an interesting read i am sure lol.
I am NOT being derogative or negative here, if someone can actually confirm possibility of downgrading it will be very benefitial for obvious reasons.
I have had no problems in any way with the leaked upgrade and obviously have no intentions of downgrading at all as it actually gave me 2 very important fixe's ussd and navigation issues fixed.
Having said that , when i have some time this week i will personally look into the downgrade problems and i think at the moment it has to be done in a specific way as downgrade without the proper tools and software is difficult in any event.
Let us know your experiances please and good luck.
