How can I have images downloaded from whatsup seeable in the N9 galery ?
I had a line in /home/user/.config/user-dirs.dirs :
Code:

XDG_WHATSUP_DIR="$HOME/Mydocs/Whatsup/images"
But changes nothing :/

you can enable it within the whatsup settings
(show media in other apps)

Yeah, but it says that it can break the N9 systemtracker... and actually it does on my phone. Then I need to restart the N9 so Galery will update again (without any whatsup pics of course).

Harmatta tracker sucks a lot, that's why editing tracker files may break it. It never happens to me, but I needed to put that warning. Enable this option and check users-dirs.dirs file is ok (btw, it's not the file you need to edit)

This is how users-dirs.dir should look:
Code:

# This file is written by xdg-user-dirs-update
# If you want to change or add directories, just edit the line you're
# interested in. All local changes will be retained on the next run
# Format is XDG_xxx_DIR="$HOME/yyy", where yyy is a shell-escaped
# homedir-relative path, or XDG_xxx_DIR="/yyy", where /yyy is an
# absolute path. No other format is supported.
#
XDG_DESKTOP_DIR="$HOME/MyDocs"
XDG_DOWNLOAD_DIR="$HOME/MyDocs/Downloads"
XDG_TEMPLATES_DIR="$HOME/MyDocs"
XDG_PUBLICSHARE_DIR="$HOME/MyDocs"
XDG_DOCUMENTS_DIR="$HOME/MyDocs/Documents"
XDG_MUSIC_DIR="$HOME/MyDocs/Music"
XDG_PICTURES_DIR="$HOME/MyDocs/Pictures"
XDG_VIDEOS_DIR="$HOME/MyDocs/Movies"

Sorry, I don't understand completely, but the picture in chats panel is the same you see in contacts panel. Also, if someone updates his picture you can see the updated picture in both panels. I've checked it right now.
