Nah- I've had mine on preorder from MPD since the end of September-- but to be honest when you look at, all the other dates really do just seem to have been hearsay and 'end of Oct' and 9th November (for UK) seem to have not changed all along the line. Just confirmation from the horse's mouth would be nice- but then we'd have nothing to talk about.:p


P.S. I'm going to paddy if I don't get an answer soon.

Nope. I've been ringing them on and off for quite some time, and I got nothing certain other than "probably november" right after the summit (I think) until pretty much 2 weeks ago. So I'm fairly sure about this.. Or maybe I'm just hoping too much :D

All these places saying "it has shipped from our supplier" seems unlikely after Peter clearly stated there would be a press release as soon as they are shipping.

How can any supplier have gotten their stock if Nokia have not shipped it yet? They raided the Nokia factory?

I dunno. I find it a bit *too* much coincidence to believe, especially when it's getting rather close to the 9th date that Nokia UK have been giving for some weeks now.

Perhaps something else is holding up the press release? Who knows.

But the release the 9th could be true then. As they will receive it tomorrow, and then maybe sent it out so the buyers will get it on monday the 9th.

No, that isn't what has been said. They (Nokia UK) *start shipping* on the 9th, so people won't start getting them for a few days *after* the 9th.

In Denmark it might be differnt then. The UK type and the nordic type is also not the same.. On the danish N900 there is æøå on :)

With all the images on the net they can't even post a picture of the device properly - they have an N810 with the maps software up. Do we think they actually take accuracy as part of a QA process?

I already have the high speed 16GB SDHC, the screen protector & a carrying case @home for about 2 weeks ... it's time to use these things before the guarantee ends ... :p

Today is November 5th, tomorrow november 6. There is still 374 days before november 15th 2010 if it shipp then or 52 days before year end. They should make a N900 contest for the shipping date
