Yeah what a disgrace, they should magic them from thin air just for you.
I wouldn't be suprised if they're saying end of November just to have a rest from all the calls asking when they're getting them.

PROMISE?? naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh I don't think there have been any promises anywhere along the line. But they did keep saying 16th, 16th for some time, then 17th (when shipping went from 9th to 10th) and then 'around 18th' I was told last week- but FFS, from my dealings with them, their attitude when you do speak to them (yes I know I've done this bit already before) absolutely stinks.

So they're not answering the phone now either eh? Great.

Received on the 28th Oct...

Hi,

Delivery of Nokia N900 stock into our Nokia stores has unfortunately been delayed by two weeks to w/c 16th November. The delivery when it arrives will be the first N900 stock in the UK and orders will be dispatched on a first ordered, first serve, basis directly from our Nokia stores. For those of you that have already pre-ordered and are expecting dispatch on the 30th October as previously advertised, please accept our sincere apologies and be assured that you are top of the dispatch list for a new Nokia N900. We have already seen working samples of the N900 and can assure you that it does exist and it will be very much worth the wait!

We can confirm that we will be the first high street chain to be offering this handset.

They could stop that quite easily by emailing their customers to say that they have not had a delivery and will update everyone when the units arrive

Its their lack of information that generates the queries..

MobileCityOnline just told me that arrival date is scheduled or 24 November with pre-order shipping that week.

Yes I had that same one at about the same time, but it all just seems like a drop in some huge great watery ocean now really.

Something , I think is amiss somewhere- and it makes me wonder why (apart from the fact they've finally denied us all communication) you can only now order N900s at Nokia and not at all on MPD. Or is it simply that they're sick of reitterating (spelling*) the same crap to everyone? Surely it would be easier to put a note on the website- or is that too simple?

Yes because all their Support staff rushed off to the warehouse and changed jobs.

Needless to say, I'm a little sad this morning. I will probably be canceling my order.

Just spoke with a CS Rep from Amazon and he says that the above info was sent out by their "fulfillment department". He also says he shows that the phone is at "their distributor".

I no longer know what to believe.

I checked my status on Amazon.com. It says After December 25th.

This is messed up.

Who can I order with to get it before then?

Then Nokia announce the N900 has shipped. Too many delay variables with boat bulk container deliveries (plus they are known to fall off boats every now and then  )

Surely Nokia is not clueless and their marketing would have better sense to not ship by boat. Heck, we used to ship printers by air from Taiwan in order to make up for delays and avoid sell-in partners from getting ticked.

Then again, Nokia did say "Sometime in November", so they are keeping to their word in a rather obtuse manner.

I do not remember this kind of delay with the N-Gage ;)

added:

nuknuk is cool!

Perhaps people need to grow up a little and be more sensible about it. Like I said generally it takes 2 weeks from shipping to retail. Shipping on 9th, 2 weeks from then for retail. Hardly too hard a concept to grasp - obviously not for some people posting in this thread.

Geez, I've only subscribed to this topic earlier today and got zillions of completely pointless posts afterwards. People, get a life! Yes, I know you all are uber-excited about N900, I am too, as I have pending stock order from MPD with T-Mobile contract (placed 20/10), but let's face it: none of us have any real influence on this, none of these posts will make it quicker, so the best option is to sit back and wait, however long that takes. Simple as that!

I'm quitting this topic for my own sanity to survive while I keep refreshing MPD's order tracker page ;) Wishing all of you the same.

actually, posts like this make a big impact on nokia as they do not want to customers and more they read, quicker they try.. just not that quick i guess :/
as the uk release date was supposed to be today 16th, and there was no information on another delay, we been waiting for that delivery.. has noone got any information at all about this?? maybe some spoke to nokia or mobilephonesdirect.co.uk and somehow got some kind of info to make us happy???

Well, to be fair, as I say, they did last tell me they were expecting deliveries in 'around the 18th' so I'm still hoping that stands and early preorders will arrive on doorsteps on thursday (ish).

Random and potentially stupid question. Maybe it's been addressed. I'm pretty sure I've read all 1000+ posts though...what's OPK stand for? I'm assuming it's not Overland Park, Kansas.

i hope your right.. it does make sense as there seems to be no official delays again and the deliveries apparently "started". so if thats the case then, pre-orders should get their n900's through within this week *Fingers crossed*

Also I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure when I first placed my pre-order with Dell it said the estimated ship date was 12/15/09. It now says 12/10/09, changed yesterday. Anyone else with Dell see this change?

Re: OPK: N900 deliveries have now started!!

I just called NOKIA USA to check the status of my September 24th preorder. I was informed as others have been that the bluetooth headset was not compatible with the phone and offered a 15% discount instead. But I also was told that the overnight shipping I originally ordered was no longer available so I would be given 1 to 3 day shipping for $1 and that the $19.99 extended warranty I had ordered would be $49.99 if I still wanted it. She assured me that I would maintain my place in the preorder queue even though I was issued a new order number. She said she thought that the N900 was already shipping and I should get mine by the end of the month.

I really love Brightpoint. They really have their act together. Some of the best customer service ever!

I definately, have never posted to a forum, but this farce, has gotten my dander up. I have ordered a n900 from expansys uk about 5 weeks ago. today, yet again, they changed estimated delivery date to december 2nd. Would someone at Nokia please get a grip. And sort this farce out. ie. inform your retail outlets, and your loyal customers on this forum, what the hells blazes is goin on??:D:rolleyes::(
