Quite possibly. The most popular response on Jolla Tides handset survery with 46% of the vote was a QWERTY-slideout keyboard with touchscreen, so unless there are design/cost reasons, they'd be crazy not to go that route. It's possible they're tapping into the people who worked on the E7.

Jolla UI has been shown in portrait so far, so we might see a portrait slideout rather than E7 or N900 style. Better than nothing I guess.

the phone design on sailfishos.org homepage is already great

i wish to see an edge to edge phone from jolla, their phone does not need any front buttons

i also wish that their phone is the cheapest smartphone that can rival the performance of latest smartphones from their rivals

I'm not sure if they have said anything about buttons but sine they are relaying heavily on swipe on can assume no buttons. Personally I don't mind buttons at least not a dedicated camera button.

You mean a port to the N900? They've not really used it at all for internal/external work...
A community port will probably arrive to the N950/N9 before the N900, but it's possible that longer-term it may arrive in some form on the N900 too.
But both will be community ports, & not the main focus/interest for Sailfish_Alliance members, who will be focusing on Sailfish for "their" devices.
Nemo is targeted for N900 just as strongly as it is for the N9/950 (if not more), so it may be a better option longer-term.
